Mine has a bug i think. I can only get 34 targets. Ive watched this video tons and there are two targets that are alternately not loading for me. Its infuriating
It's like, no wonder it takes 120 brilliant engineers to figure our how to "develop" attaching a silencer to the front of a gun barrel, when they haven't even been able to manage making stairs that go anywhere useful at all, much less where you would like them to and in an orderly and sensible fashion.
@@Psycho-Ssnake then with the inconsistent stance and movement I fell and died 3 times and had to go back over to the r&d plat. Like wtf. I got down to 2 targets left then I just now looked it up. Like FUCK ME. Just realized the color I made my base was making them blend in too!
You ain’t lying. I found it easier to go around the perimeter of top of pipes and ducts and down each level. Then once at the bottom do the center ones.
of course. with a crappy side mission like this, most everyone needs a guide, unless they're badasses who can navigate mazes blindfolded. this is being pretty helpful so far.

There's a way around. After finishing the practice, call the helicopter. That way, you sorta form your own checkpoint. It worked for me. I even when back to North Kabul to rescue prisoner 02 then came back for the r$d target practice.

Right before I came to this video I had just done medical and base development on my way to this I accidentally pushed a staff member off a ledge, killing my progress
I know it's a 3 years old comment but I was just watching this video just now then I fell down and died. Had to do it all again. Sad thing is that the checkpoint was at Command Platform, so I had to do the Target Practice for it again.. uff. Imma start this shit again. Adios.
I like the idea of running around and finding targets but they could've at least had them marked or give you a path or just put them in a area that wasn't so convoluted
R&D is the only one that was designed this player-unfriendly. The whole site is just terribly put together and it makes zero sense. Nobody would design a platform like this IRL. It must have been designed this horribly on purpose.
+Hayden Russell I just paused it as I went, and counted how many targets he took in each area, then double-checked both of our total target counts. This saved me from 2 mistakes, if I hadn't caught them then, I would likely have never figured out where I went wrong.
Holy fuck someone at Kojima Productions must've been feeling sadistic when designing this particular course. Thanks for the video! There's no way in shit I'd even attempt this again without it.
+Bman54X I can't help but feel like those courses are like Diamond Dogs soldiers' idea of practical joke - "Hey, let's make a challenge course so hard that even Big Boss himself can't finish it!" ... and then Big Boss goes in and finishes it anyway :)
I cannot express my fucking gratitude. I tried this when I first got the game and at least 3-4 times afterwards missing 10-15 targets. I followed your exact movements and its finally complete! I only have one question: Did you have early access to the game? Video was published before it came out

My car crashed into the sea because I blocked it accidentally between the wall and the stairs... It didn't save so I had to do it again :). But thx so much buddy, never could have done this without this video. Don't understand why it doesn't save afterwards though...
I feel like I'm the only person that actually enjoyed this target practice op. The others were just non-challenges while this one actually required you to figure out the route over consecutive tries, I found that way more fun. Maybe I'm a masochist. I'm a masochist.
+Damien John naah, games today do not have the same challenge as classic ones, so seeing a challenge like this one makes you like it. probably because you want to look for an extreme-mode challenge. i bet people who saw this course probably havent beaten NES Battletoads without any warps lol

The only reason I dislike this one is because all of the others are less like obstacle courses and more like shooting training, this one is just completely inconsistent. Edit: Also on PS4 the controls for this game can be some serious ass at times, which has lead to me falling off of air ducts or pipes.
This was the first one I tried, like fifty times. I put these off until no more side missions were turning up, and I was expecting a nightmare set of missions. Thank Christ this was the only one like this. Probably because THERE'S NO STAIRS TO THE TOP OF MY BASE HERE! What? Really? Why do all the stairs lead to doors that I can't enter on my own fecking base? What the hell?

Well, what should happen but I punched one of my soldiers, you know, because they seem to like that, you know, and HE FELL OFF OF MY BASE INTO THE WATER! How? Do you know how many times I've _tried_ to do that and couldn't? Anyway, as you'd expect, all my side missions since arriving at Mother Base HAD NOT SAVED so I did them all again and mortared my computer at Konami for this unspeakable atrocity. Fucking hell.
Thank you for the video. I must have tried 30 to 50 times, and each time ending with (33/35). I was determined to figure it out, but had to give it up and look for help. Much appreciated.
THANK YOU. I tried this mission 5-6 times before deciding there was no way I was going to keep on repeating it, finding maybe a couple more targets until I had found them all, and THEN repeat it some more until I find a good route, and practice that route until I get it (assuming the route works in the first place).

Great video! This thing was such a clusterfuck and I didn't feel like playing again and again just to memorize the layout, I don't have enough time to play games as it is and this saved me the trouble :D
