I was at this concert November 8,2019.Jinjer level-- gods. They are the best in Ukraine.Tanya tore the hall to pieces.Good job well done,LIKE,congratulations from Ukraine.
The guitarist (Roman) and the bassist (Eugene) both use Line6 Helix processors. Roman inserts the Helix into the effects loop of a 5150 driving a Coffee Cappuccino cabinet with a V30 and a Creamback. He used Bare Knuckle PainKillers on his Venus, not sure what he’s using now.
I grew up a metalhead, and I can confirm metalheads are really nice and inclusive. Each show and concert has always been open, welcoming and a great time!
Your still missing the heavier stuff. Try; who's gonna be the one. Captain clock Sit, stay, roll over Dip a sail Words of wisdom Outlander No hoard of value Just a few suggestions on their harder stuff.
IDK. It's the landing of any drop that gets you. I would put it on the heavier end of the middle third of the discography. Your comparisons are on point, though. That said, their heavier songs tend to be a bit less interesting because of it, imo
Hi if you are looking for Jinjer songs that are heavier here are a few of their heaviest songs (Ape), (Sit Stay Roll Over) and for an older track check out (A Plus or A Minus) and defiantly Outlander. Enjoy your Jinjer journey.
Fun reaction. Hardness-wise, OTT is on par with most Jinjer songs IMO. Bad Water, Pisces, I Speak Astronomy (though this one has fairly heavy music but few growls), and Perennial are their 4 lightest songs, then things kinda level off here for most of their work, then there are the heavier ones like Sit Stay Roll Over official, Who Is Gonna Be The One official live, and Words of Wisdom official live. One you should definitely check out for technical guitar work is Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev, and also the guitar playthrough which goes through what he's using in that playthrough. Also, check out Judgement & Punishment live in Melbourne - it has some of my favorite lyrics and vocals from Tati, but my favorite part of that song is the music. IMO, when it comes to knowledgable reactors, I'd like to get your info, and you'll be able to provide more if you stop and comment. That said, it does break up the flow of the song, so I'd suggest backing up a bit after pausing to maintain the continuity.
You should also go back and check out some of their earlier stuff from when they had two guitarists. No Hoard of Value and Outlander are good choices. As far as what Roman uses, you might want to check out this vid from Gear Gods that they did on their last US tour. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eWhvEQVnC3k.html
Regarding Roman (guitarist's) gear, he uses a EVH 5150 for US tours and the 6505 in Europe. I don't remember the setup of his effects. Preamp at the start, and everything else, like ya do. Just the one cab, I think. As far as his pickups, I know he uses Painkillers and MSPs on his drop A guitars, and MSPs on his drop C.
Damn I love me some Jinjer. Keep reacting af you will see they have a lot of different sounds to offer. Anyone else think that in that black dress Tati looks like she just crawled out of the TV in The Ring? jk... love my girl Tati. They have the best rhythm section going in metal right now. Although glad to see Roman getting some love for his on point guitar.
Is refreshing seeing a guy saying a guitar is hot and not the woman on the stage. I would love to see on your channel beside Jinjer some Disturbed, Skillet, Starset in case there are songs from them that you did not listen yet. That would be cool.
Well, let’s see... you liked “on the top”, so you may like “Pit of Consciousness”. It has some heavy lyrics, which Tati adapted from a journal entry from her teen years. She had some angst back then, apparently. If you want to try some genre mixing, go for “Judgement and Punishment”. Get a little Reggae in your Metal. 😂
Dude, what you said about Angela is exactly why I love AA instrumentals but not really her singing :( Tati just has this really amazing roughness but also smoothness to her screams, absolutely amazing.
Some of my favorite vids. Teacher, Teacher: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oRkRwL0vjOg.html (live footage) Who's Gonna Be the One: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-U6rv5qi8-8s.html (live, check the growl at ~ 4m mark) Words of Wisdom: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ew48eCy2fhU.html (live) Judgement & Punishment: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yavcvr9VfqM.html (live, mix is a bit low on the vocals) Outlander: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XtOYjCkHJak.html (live footage) I Speak Astronomy: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0Shp1vmiuQc.html (live, sound is a bit muddy but the performance rocks)
I am guessing you'll like songs like Captain Clock (Live at Resurrection Fest), Sit, Stay, Roll over, and Ape. But you should watch Who is Gonna be the One (live) and Teacher, Teacher.
Going through your Jinjer reactions chronically and you're done their most "commercial" songs so far haha. Lots of other WAY heavier tracks. :) Looking forwards to the rest. Oh I commented this before actually watching this one so I am curious about your reaction to this one. Edit: Both the guitarist and bass player uses Line 6 Helix. They have a video about presets on their channel IIRC.
Check out this Rig Rundown. : ) You will see Roman's 3 OD GTRs and signal chain. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eWhvEQVnC3k.html BTW , Eugene joined a two guitar band. Then Jinjer became a one guitar band. So , he began playing/tapping melody parts more often in their music to fill out their sound. Good luck on your GTR search!
I'd say the most talented is Vlad, their drummer. I am bias as a drummer myself, but Vlad plays guitar as well. He wrote the song Retrospection on guitar first, then wrote the drums. He is a beast. Eugene with the tappy taps, so good. Roman is amazing too of course, you won't find him in interviews as much though (Which Eugene just said recently to give him time, he isn't confident with his English all the way) Like others have said he did do a gear gods with Eugene. I'd watch that
Check out some old school Jinjer from 2014. Very cool and heavy. They are a 5 piece band here with an additional guitarist and different drummer. - Outlander (failure .color) m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XtOYjCkHJak.html No Hoard Of Value (Lyric video) m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k6mGOxzSVDU.html - Cloud Factory (Official live) Is also great. Hot as hell 🔥 m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sg8tiRyXujQ.html
Most of their stuff is really hard to play on guitar with all of the nonstop timing/beat changes that you have to get just right, this is one of their easier ones to learn because it's pretty straightforward-ish. This was the first song of theirs I attempted to learn. The key to the heavy tone is absolutely slam the front end of the amp with from slight OD and lots and lots of clean boost with just slight amp distortion, then suck out some of the added mids in the loop. Passive pickups work better as well, I have both my Fantomen and Hellrasier in drop A and I have to tap the EMGs of the Hellraiser and turn amp distortion down even more to match the tones. I think the Fantomen does a better job with just its stock pickups. There's no tabs, so I did it by ear ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kje9lKP8sBo.html
Hey Tim, if you did not see it yet, here's a video where Jinjer show their gear in detail: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eWhvEQVnC3k.html would actually like to see your comment/reaction on that as well
Ah, was just about to recommend sit, stay rollover when watching your reaction, then you ended your reaction with saying you will watch it tomorrow. Prepare to have angry tatiana scream at you :) There are a few more of their older songs that are pretty heavy. You also mentioned Teacher, teacher, thats a heavy one from their more recent stuff so hopefully you will like it. I actually tired on metal a few years ago since so much sounded the same. Often lots of energy but often not a lot besides that. Further I never really liked growls before Jinjer. Now they are by far my favourite band. Im just sad I found them too late - they played close to where I live last summer (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AzFIdqZym0o.html) but I did not know about them then. They were about to come back this summer but sadly with the current situation its cancelled so I wont be able to hear them live
Heavy? Are you looking for something heavy? Check out Sit Stay Roll Over or/and Ape. You won't be disappointed! 🤘🤘 edit: At the end you just mentioned what gonna be next. Good choice.
Greeting Sir! My today's suggestion is an Industrial/Metal song entitled "We Died In 2012", from the French Canadian project named So-Fi: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rFwZcGmzNY0.html
Ивас if you want the world to acknowledge Kyiv I should ask your govt the Rada to get it changed on all the maps, then no more ambiguities! I understand where you are coming from but do where do you stop, do you write Odesa or Odessa, or Lviv or Lvov . Cut the rest of the world some slack, what iritates me though is when they say " the Ukraine" instead of "Ukraine" moreso than Kiev 😉!
