Next step for Lovebites: Shadowmaker. If you cant find live from Daughters of the Dawn of Battle in the East, then react to official video. I love these girls do much
Glad you are keeping up with Lovebites, reactions. I hope a few of your subscribers buy their previous material on the strength of what they have seen.
Obviously getting produced by the big Euro power metal Finnish guys helps, but most of their music is very well composed and structured. The solos are all very well thought out and put together. They kinda got stopped in their tracks like all of us with the Virus as the new album and likely a US tour were to follow this year so for now we get Miyako throwing us a few vids from her home studio. In their live videos they can be a touch sloppy at times, and perfect at other times which is to be expected given the sheer number of notes and the fact they have only been at this for a couple of years. Undoubtedly they have good chemistry together. At first listen Asami's voice didn't really do much for me as it was engulfed by so much surrounding sound. After a while, i absolutely love her sound. A lot of other band comparisons but i find them quite unique in a way with their sound. Given their skill set the sky's the limit from here on out..Empty Daydream from Daughters of the Dawn highlights some of Miyako's piano chops and they are strong...
Absolutely what he said. I thought they were sloppy when I found them, and wasn’t hooked at first by Asami’s vox. Then I found out that I was listening to their very first show! which was fall 2017. Within 6months they played Bloodstock and Wacken (turned out ok & great respectively, much of the difference being the festivals’ different levels of quality recording). By January they’d put out 42 songs in n 32 months and had time to tour Europe 4-5 times. They’ve fulfilled the promise... Oh, and Empty Daydream intro gives great diversity, soulful singing over classically flourished piano is such a change of pace from the band all Relentlessly chugging on 16ths... PPS, apparently today is 3yr anniversary of their first EP
Never thought about the Kirk Hammett comparison, but they do have some similarities like you said. I agree with the lack of gear, I wouldn't think it much of an issue to bring the gear as well if the band members play their instruments in the video, but the lack of them always takes a bit away. But I still like the visuals here, the samurai theme is quite nice and works with the lyrics since they are only gathering for the upcoming battle. I think the idea of the video is to show that they are united to face the up and coming hurdles in their path of becoming even better musicians. Next one should definitely be Shadowmaker. But the official video has the ad in the middle. There are some good live videos, though. One from Graspop 2019 is quite good, although mainly the vocalist is in the picture and you don't really see the drummer. But you can see the solos and the sound is good. Bloodstock festival has a professionally shot video but the sound in that isn't the best.
And because you talked about the fact usually in the MV the instruments are just unpluged then i strongly suggest them, it's a new superband formed by girls from different bands, the official MV is recorded in a classic music studio :D NEMOPHILA - Oiran ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eyb2NtPwcxc.html
Thank You! Finally! i was worried you were just going to pick their so-so stuff and stop. whew! Nice comparison with Metallica, i always think Maiden. " Shadowmaker " next!
@@ChrisPage68 Fair enough. Band Maid is my favorite hard rock band. Lovebites is an awesome power metal band. It would be great if they were both at Inkcarceration next year. I had tickets this year, but......cancelled. What band would want to follow either one on stage?
Kirk Hammett plays that way because he started with classical guitar as a young boy., and that’s how the classical and flamenco guys hold their guitars. They also sit.
Two kick ass lead guitarists where have wee seen that before oh i know Judas Priest (Downing and Tipton) or maybe it was Iron Maiden (can't remember their names) oh right it's a major part of the whole power metal set up. Don't get me wrong i think bot of these ladies is extremely good, but there are a lot better comparisons than Metallica, for this band.
nice reaction. of course shadowmaker must be the next, otherwise, look at the following band "wagaki band" : a mix between western rock /metal and japanese traditional instruments : "Ikusa" : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y5zj3dwNxJw.html "Ningen Isu" :" heartlees scat": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CbI79e5iZKs.html "One OK Rock", one of my favorites band with "band maid" so far : "myghty long fall" : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L02WaARe9UQ.html Enjoy.
I think you misunderstood the purpose of the samurai. Like a band, the samurai need to work cooperatively and believe and trust in each other to be successful; and they cooperate, believe, and trust because their destinies, like those of bandmates, are aligned. And when destinies are aligned, great things can happen. Just sayin'!
There were female Samurais in History, and they were called Onna-Bugeisha. www.documentarytube.com/articles/onna-bugeisha-the-female-samurai-warriors-were-just-as-strong-as-male
I have another all female Japanese band for you to react to. Band is Aldiuos and the song is We Are Link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sfkJT0rra-8.html
as I thought, when destinies align is a good song but not too great on a guitar solo. lovebites songs with the titles "shadowmaker, we the united and rising" are the best guitar solo that lovebites have. you must react it..
Wow, I have to disagree. Definitely a guitar solo band, blues, speed, dueling, harmonizing, featured, intro/outro melodic, under the vocals even. But this 90seconds of featured guitar parts, with its own chords (song within a song) really works for me, I’ve come back to listen just to that part!
@@timgove5337 I mean it's not as aggressive as a shadowmaker or rising. Many people suggest shadowmaker or rising as their first reaction video, then followed by "when destinies align" or "The crusade" :)
Dude... The guitar solos on When Destinies Align is the best music that Lovebites has ever created. That is my firm opinion when taking all aspects into account; The composition as a whole, the arrangements, the steadily building intensity, the absolutely euphoric dual shredding climax. It is perfect.
They look like they're going out clubbing, In reality they're getting ready to melt your face off. No matter how good you think you play a guitar, there's a Japanese lady better than you. (stolen)
