Hello everyone this is my first ever reaction to MY ROAR (マイロア) ／Covered by Banzoin Hakka【歌ってみた】 ! banzoin hakka is a vtuber for the vtuber group holostars en tempus under Cover Corp. He seems to be an incredible vocalist and I'm super excited to check out his cover for the very first time. I'm a metalhead, super big fan of metallica, judas priest, nightwish, powerwolf, beast in black, etc. so this music is a super fun adventure to discover and explore! This is my metal head reaction to banzoin hakka!!!

So glad that you love Hakka’s cover! When it was announced, I listened to the original and definitely shared some of the sentiments you had, and was pleasantly impressed to hear the changes he brought in to both respect the original and make the song his. He’s now celebrating the 1 year anniversary of his branch with his guildmates and has released a group metal cover with Gavis Bettel and MachinaxFlayon. It’s called “Dead World” and composed by Utsu-P! There’s another anniversary original called “Woven Fates” that’s very boyband-inspired. It’s sung by Bettel, Altare, Axel and Shinri and written by Lilypichu if you’re interested. They’re on the main Holostars EN channel. Would love to hear your thoughts about them! As for an individual talent you could check out, I would definitely recommend Axel Syrios’s covers! His latest Kyu-kurarin cover and his debut cover of Yoidore Shirazu in particular have a good amount of creative elements you could touch on. Your videos bring a enthusiastic analytical view that is very refreshing. Thank you again for the video!!

After watching your last video reacting to Towa's and hearing what specific prefererences for parts you had and hearing you were going to listen to Hakka's definitely did make me fully confident you'd like his cover 😂 I think his style very naturally fits this song and i think he did work hard to pay that tribute to the original while making it his own. I do still personally love Towa's original (moreso the 3d live version) but I also lean more towards Hakka's arrangement. Thanks for sharing the reaction!

Even if i love the original from Towa, when i heard this cover it was like it was mean to be, now this seems like Towa composed a song for Hakka to sing (without disrespecting Towa she is one of my favs in holo) But this style suits Hakka so much, that's why he covered obviously lol, also Towa did love the cover and praised Hakka for his voice. If you want to redeem Towa and her rock/metal side one of her last original songs called Anemone, is a much more suited approach to that style for her voice, it was an amazing song, you could check it out if you want. Also the Tempus boy released 3 original songs past week as part of their 1 year anniversary, called Woven Fates, Dead World and Flex, if you want you could check all of the 3, very different styles between them, but i specially recommend you check Dead World by Hakka, Bettel and Flayon, it is amazing.

Thank you for the reaction! I really like the changes Hakka added to his cover which make his different from Towa-sama 's. He knew his features and apply them very well. I do like both the original and this wilder version. And this week is EN tempus 1 anniversary week. Boys had just released two originals, Woven Fates and Dead World. I'm sure you would like the latter one presented by Hakka, Flayon and Bettel.

Towa isn't really a metal singer were as hakka is. Basically, Towa's original, according to this, didn't suit her voice since she was unable to growl and used voice suppression instead in a song where it was apparently needed for her to be able to growl. This is kinda just my understanding. Hakka's cover is better because he can do the growl that towa couldn't.

omg i was waiting for u to react to this i knew u'd love this one i'm so glad that u did tempus is having their 1st anni week rn and two days ago they released their original song (not a cover) Dead World by Utsu-P, a metalhead vocaloid producer, and it goes crazy hard! It's sung by Hakka, Bettel and Flayon. They also released Woven Fates 4 days ago, also an original. it's more boys band, specifically BTS inspired, but it's really pretty. With Bettel, Altare and Shinri singing it. And just today, they released Flex, it's a rap song! this time it has all of them singing together! it'd be nice if you could react to them!! i think you'd especially love Dead World

yeah something i also dislike about hololive is their abusive usage of saturation/supression over the voices in some originals/covers, i loved so much this cover and just because of that, not so much compression of voice, the towa original was too compressed, specially at the start i didn't like that, maybe all those effects ok but the compression? i hate it another example of that is this cover: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NKQvH78Jv04.html of Saikai, originally made by LiSA and Uru, covered by Moona and Suisei on that song again, so much compresion to the point of being disgusting in my opinion

Yes, I definitely understand what you mean! While I understand it is ultimately a matter of preference, I still find myself dissatisfied with most applications of vocal suppression, even outside the vtuber community.

@@ScribbleTheTalkingSketch exactly, however even not disliking voice supression, sometimes (and with hololive specially) it's too extreme like in both said examples (My Roar and Saikai)
