When I 10 years old, Cream became my favorite. In fact, they still are. But at that time, I was also listening to Slayer, White Zombie (and Rob Zombie), and Overkill, much to my oldest sister’s credit. (She always listened to King Diamond every time she drove). Then, GTA Vice City came the following year. I would always listen to V-Rock. I was hooked. Metal became my favorite genre of music. I thank my sister and GTA Vice City for starting my pathway to metal!

Many rappers and rap record labels have spiky, unreadable logos that are obviously inspired by metal band logos. I'm not just talking about the ones that parody a particular metal band's logo (like Metallica), these are original logos that look like they could be metal band logos. Although we all know Brendon Small as the creator of Metalocalypse, he snuck in references to metal in the show he made before, Home Movies. That show mentions a teacher named Mr. Hanneman, and there is a metalhead guitarist character.
All Saint Seiya characters look like they belong to Heavy Metal band IMO. Also the soundtrack is top notch, with heavy metal guitar solos and all (everything is very 80's) Dragon Ball fans should give a chance, Saint Seiya is enormous here in South America

10:14- Not directly inspired by metal, but there is a manga called Berserk by Kentarou Miura (R.I.P.). It's a dark fantasy horror comic from Japan about a warrior named Guts. He's a former mercenary who hunts demons after his former friend and betrayer became a demon god, branded his soul, and is hunted by sadistic and evil demons known as Apostles who try to kill him and drag his soul to hell. He wields a giant sword, a repeater crossbow, and has a prosthetic iron hand with a cannonball. The art is great, the characters are amazingly written, and the action scenes are splendid.
You can find Metal influences in some Italian Horror/Exploitation films. In 1985 , there was a movie called Demons. The film was about demons invade a movie theater during a sneak preview of a film about demons being let loose. The film's soundtrack was provided by Accept, Pretty Maids, Saxon, Motley Crue. There was also a post apocalyptic film called 1990 : The Bronx Warriors in which The Bronx became a no mans land guarded by a biker gang led by a guy with long hair named Trash. It spawned a sequel called Escape From The Bronx. Then there's comic books inspired by Metal. Marvel hsd Conan The Barbarian comics as well as The Mighty Thor.
An honorable anime mention: In the Original Broly Film when the Z-Fighters take on the title character -- One of Pantera' songs (I forgot which one it was,) can be heard playing in the background. In the OVA of the original Devilman; When Ryo takes main character Akira Fudo to a modern day Black Mass -- "Light It Up" & "Show Must Go On!" By Japanese Metal Band ANTHEM can be heard blaring over the loud speakers 🤘😁
Sting didn't start dressing like The Crow untiil tne mid 90s. Before that, he had platinum blonde spikey hair. When The Undertaker was in WWE, the company was G rated. Even when ECW brought back more adult themes, the WWE remained G rated until 1996. In the 80s, WWE did have Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne participate in Wrestlemania, but, for the most part the Rock in Rock And Wrestling was handled by Cyndi Lauper. In 1997 or 98 HHH started using Motorhead for his entrance music.
