I'm pretty sure we won't hear another Blegh from Sam for a while. He mentioned in an interview something along the lines of "what's the point of writing meaningful lyrics when people only wanna hear the 'blegh'?" I'm all for it though, Sam's singing is top notch.

I love the fact that you dont pause the video during your reaction and then at the end of the video you break down what you like and dont like about the song. I might be reading into this song too much but it feels to me like a metaphor that they're finally starting to heal the wounds from Tom, and this whole new sound they're going with in the new album is them shedding their former selves and creating sound after Tom

Sam actually brought this up in the first interview they did for the new record. While him and Tom were writing Holy Hell (shortly before he died), they were semi-joking about going this route. But it was a natural progression and obviously took the time to make it work.

I wish I loved new Architects as much as everyone else, my favorite band is missing something. I loved their softer songs on Daybreaker, but they felt so much more powerful in a way that feels absent on these new songs. It sucks so much for me. But I'll always have their old music, and that's what I'll always be thankful for.

Nik if u want to hear the best melodic death metal in 2020 or probably in the last 10 years, just hear a song called cosmic maelstrom by cult of Lilith, the vocal, the guitar, the drum, the thematic vibe, the breakdown, everything in that song is a fucking masterpiece, brutally catchy at it's finest, they will be a big leader in metal in no time

5 years ago I would not introduce architects to someone wanting to get into metal, however! This has totally changed, the evolution of this band just gets more and more better, well rounded great vocals and the instrumentals have great influences to alot of heavier bands I adore. Strength to strength! The band is producing more and more powerful songs that a new ear can tell has so much passion and emotion behind them, can't wait for the whole album!!

Best songs: Animals, Black Lungs, Libertine (one of my favorites 🔥🔥), Impermanence (ft. Winston McCall), Little Wonder (ft. Mike Kerr - also one of my favorites 🔥🔥), Goliath (ft. Simon Neil), and Demi God (love the egyptian vibe). Easily one of the best albums of 2021, and the year barely started. No words to express how much this band has evolved since the early days.

Loco esto es la evolución de una banda o al menos el intento de evolucionar como banda, en casi todos los discos Sam se adueñaba de la voz (cosa que hace la mayoria de vocalistas del género) es como si su orgullo como "screamers" no les permitiera compartir dicho puesto en la banda bajo ninguna circunstancia. Ahora escuchás y hay teclados notables, otros instrumentos que suenan de fondo, música mucho más ambiental, LA VOZ de los dos guitarristas como acompañamiento y para los coros o falsos coros yyyyyyy al fin no hay un breakdown repetitivo, me encanta
