Bro this they didn’t disappoint. It had it all. The chaotic sig vocal vibes where he sounds like he’s on some psycho rant rap. Energy and hooks was epic. This band is the 7th wonder of the world. I could see a new record it would take 1-2yrs as it’s hard to make classics like this. I bet they made a bunch of tracks and these were the best to release with theme of war
They originally said they were DONE FOR GOOD! You know if System of a Down is releasing new music as a full band..THE MESSAGE MUST BE IMPORTANT! We are living in perilous times. When System of a Down puts out new music, THE WHOLE WORLD LISTENS! They honestly have more political influence as a band than any crooked politician could ever hope to possess. Music IS "Power"..er "Powerful"😉
@@yash1140Its been so long since Hypnotize/Mezmerize that i completely stopped hoping for something new. Its been 2 years already since these 2 songs came out. I still remember sitting in my room being so damn excited. It feels like it was a month ago man.
@@captainvaughn5692facts i remember waking up and going to soad on spotify and seeing something new and literally freaked out seeing it. I jammed to it all the way to work
@@MAJORp121 the big 'humanitarian' countries that have the power to stop something bad, failed to stop azerbaidjan and turkey from attacking the armenians because they were bought by money. This song is about the very recent azeri aggression against indegenous armenians of a region called Artsakh or Nagorno-Karapakh depending on who you ask
@@MAJORp121 can add to the other reply that in this war, they have broken atleast 3 Genève convention laws, two being use of cluster missiles and chemical warfare. And the EU isnt doing a fucking thing about it
1:45 I don't know if it was meant to be interpreted this way, but those string noises sound a lot like the pulling back and releasing of a gun's bolt. To me, not only does it sound sick, it was a super clever way to further non-verbally reinforce the song's message
Can we just appreciate the fact that this track is more like their early work, however "Protect The Land" is stylistically similar to Mezmerize/Hypnotize? There's literally everything for everyone and kudos for that.
It’s not just a new song guys ) we are in war right now! Some of my friends died. SOAD is trying to tell you some stuff and if you want to understand this song please do a little research on what’s going on right now in Armenia and next time you see the protest in your country with Armenian flags join them and help stop this shit !
Greece is standing with you! My grand-grand parents lived through the pontic genocide the Turks did alongside the armenian genocide! Stay strong! #RecogniseArtsakh
In very short, for those interested why they released a new song, it’s about the war in Armenia and Artsakh, in which Azeri backed turkish and isis militants (SIGNIFICANT EVIDENCE) are attacking the autonomous region of Artsakh. There is a VERY real threat of genocide against Armenians once again.
martin sonneborn, member of the european parliament, recently (like 3 days ago or so) released a short video about that topic. pretty disturbing and disgusting what azerbaijan and turkey do to armenia. and a shame that nothing happens. hope something will happen in that regard
@@ichbin18isklar Martin is a legend. I remember him standing up and saying "I recognize the republic of Artsakh" in the EU parliament about a month ago.
They have also broken at least 3 geneva convention laws, such as chemical warfare and cluster missiles. The situation is so fucking disturbing and the fact that no one is doing a fucking thing about it is even more disturbing...
@@iansahari Blast beats aren’t strictly black metal. They’re used in a variety of metal genres. Heck they originated in jazz to a degree, before really coming to fruition in hardcore punk. It’s all about the riff when it comes to black metal.
This song is AWWESOMEEEEE, specially the black metal like part. Despite they have not realeased an album for a while this song proves they can do huge things despite time has past. Btw try to react to bury the light - Casey Edwards with Victor Borba this song has a good metal vibe even though it was made for a video game
SOAD on Genocidal Humanoidz: We’re beating the devil, we never run from the devil, we never summoned the devil, we never hide from the devil SOAD on DDevil: The devil is so lovely
Side project? Lol all of SOAD and SOB songs have been written by Daron and you can hear it. I was little bit dissapointed. I mean 15 years to create something new and these songs sound boring.
@@Reinonordinn you act like if in the span of 15 years they were trying to make new music and this is all they came up with. Both songs have great messages in them, as far as “enjoyment” in these 2 songs, protect the land was ok, but genocidal humanoidz hits different and is definitely an instant classic
@@lukebouwmeester7298 I know, I didn’t mean to come off as an ass but I just think people should remember these songs were released because there’s a humanitarian crisis and my people are literally facing an existential crisis. Genocidewatch has moved the threat level to stage 9 - extermination, and most of the world does nothing
People should remember that SOAD released these songs to raise awareness and funds to address this, donate through the bandcamp website or at armeniafund.org
It really just showcases the two types of music SOAD really likes to make. Those in-your-face, punchy and fast-paced songs like this. And then the more chill and groovy, emotive pieces, designed to deliver their message in a more palatable and calm format, things like Aerials and the like. Love the two new songs and the reasoning behind the sudden revamp.
Let me explain the artwork .It contains, first of all, the national flag of Artsakh, and that monument of grandmother and grandfather is symbol of Artsakh ,just like the Statue of Liberty is for USA.
one thing that i like about those two songs is that THEY KEEP THEIR SOUND . a lot of bands changed a lot (which is not that bad) but still , they keep the atmosphere that make it feel almost nostalgic
Personal theory: I'm guessing that both of these new tracks were written ENTRIELY by Daron and if he wasn't able to round the guys up to record, he would have released them as Scars On Broadway songs. Thoughts, guys?
Those two songs are written to raise awareness of Azerbaijan and Turkey's attack on the people of Artsakh and Armenia. A full blown war, currently ongoing for a little over 40 days. You can read information about why the songs are released pretty much anywhere, including their video descriptions. So it's a no. The band got together to help their Armenian brothers fight genocidal humanoidz, definitely nothing to do with Scars On Broadway.
Radio 1 Rock out of Sofia plays Genocidal Humanoidz a lot. Also plays other of System of a Down's songs. RU-vid actually banned their video of this song for a while. It is interesting that only Russia helped them after the first genocide and has now stepped in again against the Turk and Azerbaijan. Took the USA until 2019 to finally recognize the Armenian genocide. Uh, almost 100 years? These guys kind of remind me of the Dead Kennedys and Jello Biafra.
Artsakh has always been a part of historical Armenia, and Armenia is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. There are many churches, historical and cultural infrastructures in Artsakh, which were built in the 3-4th centuries. For the Armenian side, victory means to keep our lands. Thanks SOAD. Thanks for telling the truth.🇦🇲 #RecognizeArtsakh
And I'm so sorry but I see you're a little ignorant. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H1Nik3ygsmE.html you can watch this if you can handle the facts. Also search about 'khojaly massacre'.
Nik: Moves the Head on 1 mm in the Beggining of the video Autozoom in Cam: Oh, let's dance dude! PS: For those who used imperial units - 1 mm is about yours 11.758 Falconclaw or about 0.976 Pigtales but I'm not sure
My only complaint is Serj rarely just lead vocals- always accompanied by what’s his face. I like the harmonies but it just never stops. Glad they’re back though 🤘🏻🤘🏻
i’m so disappointed that they’re having creative differences cuz these 2 bangers they’ve released STILL haven’t been released on an actual album. i wanna know how they can be having these differences cuz they always seem so in tune with each other…..
