YEAH!! Tornado Of Souls definitely has one of the best guitar solos of all time. Marty Friedman plays the solo and he's one of my favorite guitarists, he's amazing 🙏 Also the Rust In Peace album is just phenomenal. (Since you're reacting to Megadeth react to Hangar 18. That song is definitely interesting... groovy, and ALOT of guitar solos)
Yeah, Marty said that after he laid down the solo track, Dave Mustaine came in to the soundboard and listened to it in the mix and then just turned around and shook Marty's hand without saying a word. You did something right if you blew Dave Mustaine's mind.
AWESOME solo! Next on this album: Lucretia Take No Prisoners Hanger 18 Another great Megadeth Album is Peace sells but who's buying. Songs: Wake up dead Th Conjuring Peace Sells Good Mourning/Black Friday
I heard in an interview with Dave that song was written about their addiction. I could be wrong as it was a long time ago, but since most addicts refer to the issue as a woman, it makes sense to me
The lyrics describe a person who is breaking free from a controlling relationship, where they felt trapped and suffocated, much like being caught in a tornado. The “tornado” metaphorically represents the chaos and destruction that this toxic relationship caused in the person’s life. The song conveys a strong message of liberation and finding one’s own strength to escape the turmoil. The intense emotion is matched by the song’s aggressive musical composition, making it a standout track in Megadeth’s discography and a favourite among fans for its relatable theme of personal struggle and empowerment .Dave Mustaine has mentioned in interviews that “Tornado of Souls” was inspired by his personal experiences and emotions. Specifically, it reflects his feelings and thoughts during a difficult period in his life, including his struggles with substance abuse and the end of a relationship. The song was a way for him to express the turmoil he was feeling and to channel his desire for change and new beginnings. It’s a personal reflection turned into a powerful musical piece. Dave Mustaine was also in Metallica before he was kicked out in 1983 and went on to form Megadeth.
Another rager - great pick, Stax! 💜 I would love to see a reaction to Opeth - Blackwater Park. The live version off the "Roundhouse Tapes" is excellent. 😊
MegadetH is my #1! Vic Rattlehead is the name of the skeleton dude that's MegadetH's mascot. He has sun glasses bolted to his face. Gears over his ears. Mouth's wired shut. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
@StaxReacts You owe it to yourself to keep listening to them, they are on another level.. Check out She-Wolf live (Rude Awakening).. Get to see these dude lay this down for real.. It's godly.. You've been warned!
Great reaction Stax. This band is interesting, Dave Mustaine (Lead Vocals, Rhythm and Lead Guitar), was the original Lead Guitarist of Metallica. His singing voice isn't the greatest, and is particularly high pitched on this album. He's quite a good lyricist, with songs that deal with addiction, war, religion, magic, etc. I just saw a reaction to one of my favorite Megadeth songs, "The Conjuring," which instead of summoning, seems to be pointing to the personification of what we subconsciously thought we needed, to cope with some thing or event, but has not allowed us to move on.
Oh man... Heilsbronn germany July 91 at 01:30 calling the soon to be ex after finding out the infidelity's a week before leaving the service. This album and specifically this song was a life vest for me. Thank you sir and may the Lord Jesus bless you and yours!
Gotta do Holy Wars and Hanger 18... if you do hanger 18 make sure that it's the full song as there is a short version which cuts out most of the solo's.
understand 100% you listened that solo again. i heard it maybe 200 times in my life or more and still love it and still check cover solos in yt. that solo is a great composition by marty friedman, a highly recommended guitarist for the touch and the feel he has. if you just want to check what is for me his best solo, is the first one from lucretia, the second one is done by the singer and i personaly dont like it all but anyways marty solo fulfills the entire song by itself😅
You want to check out a great song of theirs based on true events? Check out '44 Minutes' about the famous shootout with two robbers and the LA police.
Now you have to do the big 5 you dont went down the rabbit hole ...Biohazard come on, Pantera ...you already played the best if you ask me but theirs much to hear yet from Megadeth man
