Nice comparison. The newer HF English Wheel I bought is exactly like that Klutch. HF doesn’t even sell the wheels for it. I had to buy them from Northern Tool.👍
I bought a used harbor freight English wheel but it’s the new style and I concur it is identical to the clutch I have no complaints it’s been working out good for me awesome video
thank you for this review good imformation to have. I finally have electricity in my new garage just wanted to let you know those powder coated tumblers and cups rock hot or cold drinks stay that way , fill the tall tumbler with ice it last all day Thank you
I think I talked to you about this before but mine is a Woodward Fab and it is almost identical to the new style Harbor Freight ones. It would be interesting to know who builds what but there can't be that many separate companies building these that similar. Mine was used once and I picked it up for 500 bucks with all the dies.
Cool little vid bro. As for where there made there all made in the same factory. Here in Oz we have the same ones to just a different company over here.
Lol Harbor freight doesn't sell the extra Lower wheel set anymore 🙁🙁 But the ones for the klutch one will fit the 2nd generation harbor freight English wheel Ihad to buy the klutch wheels for my English wheel 😄🤣 figured I should add this comment to help someone others who might not realize this Every video you post is awesome and helpful for sure Keep the videos coming bro Thanks for being so awesome and helpful 👍👍👍👍
I hear sorry for the poor camera work alot in these videos but I enjoy the camera work because I feel like I am there as a personal Point Of View. Awesome stuff. Keep making videos.
Thank you for your honest opinion on what to think about and look for as I’m looking for for one to purchase in Australia, but I think we are getting stitched up here re price, but we will see lol 😊👍
You need to try a real old school, vintage cast iron wheel. My mentor taught me on one and it is amazing. I got my own cheap version similar to what you show there (Machinery house down here in NZ/Aus) and the feel is not the same at all but like you say it does work. And the cast iron ones aren't easily moveable! On machines like this (and bead rollers and lathes and mills) I think it all really comes down to rigidity. The more rigid the better.
I like how you attached the bead roller and shrinker stretcher to the english wheel. I have a small shop to work so I might try this. Do the shrinker stretch get in the way?
I got the smaller one from princess auto our harbour freight. I think I’ll need to make the whole thing like some others on RU-vid and just uses the wheels. It flex’s with thicker metal but I should work for the smaller sheet metal panels I’ll need to make.
I did the same thing on the back of my wheel with the bead roller only I used square u-bolts around the english wheel frame and drilled holes through the bead roller instead, I bought a foot pedal stand for the shrinker, stretcher but I think Harbor Freight discontinued those, Damn shame cause they're well built stands
Hey Arco, would you be able to confirm that the older style bottom dies (small wheels) work on the newer 2nd gen Eng Wheel/ Klutch ? this would help me out big time. thanks!
No brother they are completely different. Because I actually had that problem when I got my new clutch English wheel. I ended up ordering a set from clutch. Hope that helps thanks. ARCO
@@OutlawEdge thanks so much for replying Bro! ... man that's disappointing because the klutch ones are on back order and I don't want to buy just the wheel and being stuck without the other set.
Good video. Thoughts though: 2:53 3:03 …as a fabricator why is that a problem? The way I see it is spend $2500 or ?$1500 for a Baleigh, or buy the cheapo and spend an hour with a welder. I know that sounds hyper critical >sorry< but when we buy bargain import tools you get what you pay for sometimes, sometimes you get less, sometimes it’s a true bargain and you get more than you paid for but that’s rare. In the end, if you can affordably modify a cheap tool and get the performance we need out of it and it doesn’t cost much to get there it’s worth it.
I totally agree on that 👍 I have people all the time asking me which tools to use and which tools not to use. Or what tools do I prefer. I don’t mind modifying or customizing my tools at all. I picked up that English wheel For $100 at a garage sale so it’s no biggie to cut it and modify it. Thank you for watching. ARCO
If you can’t hear it turn your TV up. When I turn up my volume everybody bitches that it’s too loud. When I turn down my volume everybody bitches that is too low. I can’t please everybody. Have a nice day
