You hear about that happening a lot do you? I live surrounded by water in St. Bernard parish. Never heard of that happening, but i'd imagine a yankee could find away...
This hull would have a hell of a lot more directional stability in clear water, and in any kind of seas, than an airboat. Try cornering at speed, in a chop, in an airboat. In fact, just try _using_ an airboat in anything more than a few inches of waves. They pound like crazy, and are very inefficient. There's a reason why flat-bottomed hulls aren't used on *any* watercraft other than houseboats and airboats: they suck in anything other than calm water.
@@bricology You forgot drag boats...With a fin midship they can turn on a dime...I built many till they fell out of vogue and when the gas octane went south....
You kinda missed the point, airboats have props tips that sound like the second coming when they exceed sound barrier, this is way quieter , that's the point
Oh Gee just what we need... You finally get a weekend off and enjoying some fishing and this a hole comes down with his 4x4 with no wheels screaming "Merikkka"!!! Tearing up your fishing hole, trees and vegetation as well.
there wasn't enough about the unit that makes this boat get through tough conditions... one quick shot of the prop and drive unit..... looks pretty much like a hundred other OD green metal boats and the unique prop system was pretty much overlooked or purposely kept from the viewers.
Be top secret. I think it just has two counter rotating props made out of a very high quality steel, hardened and heat treated ,with massive power so the props cannot get jammed up.
I've had a 200 hp gasoline powered on since 2006 it looks like pretty much the same thing. The closed loop cooling would be a plus but I've never clogged mine as the impeller that drives the boat is the water pump but a closed loop never has to be back flushed.
Maybe the makers of this thing can loan one to Shelby for a season to show its abilities and he gets the logs! Sounds like a winner winner chicken dinner to me, Baby!
Finnaly a vehicle to cut paths and destroy one of the few areas we havent been able to fuck up with other offroad vehicles this is great just what we all needed
@@MrDavidelliottjr the correct term is educated not smart, and this was not my achievement, the gift from the parents. Do you say love when you mean hate? But true this one was funny and i should have kept silent . Dumb from me, so i am not smart.......bahahaaaaaa, you were wrong. Sorry again for loudmouthism.
Boat should be named "conservation nightmare" Props on the execution of the project, looks very well designed, built, and capable. it's just a shame it's so viscerally destructive.
"Destructo-3000" This boat is a serious piece of hardware, though. I like the engineering especially the closed cooling system. Pretty much unstoppable.
@@bodesbodes9408 its not only about fish, but birds, insects and all other animals that do their stuff in peace. Its good that there are spaces you cant reach with a boat - unless its some sort of utility or rescue boat.
HEY MAN, I BET SHELBY COULD USE THIS BOAT TO ROTO-TILL HIS GARDEN,OR GO FLYING AROUND IN THE SWAMP GOING 100MPH. OLD SHELBY IS ONE CRAZY S.O.B. PAW PAW . IT'S TURTLE SOUP TONIGHT.
Obviously the prop is coming in contact with everything the boat runs over, my only question would be, how long does a prop last being used in this fashion.
This prop is forged from an alloy only found in mars thus making it impervious to anything this world can throw at it. Good question cause just bush hogged those trees.
Dramatic music...Highly specialized platform... Mission. Destroy wildlife, make noise, spend money. My opinion. (Edit. I reviewed the upload and the comment section to make sure I wasn't being unduly harsh. No it's still ugly and really dumb. My mil-spec Wing™️ inflatable with a properly trimmed 90 horsepower Mercury jetdrive does the same thing for like 10k.)
What about the bass and other specials of fish that are bedding fish, you can whip out a complete seasons new population and food chain member? Very special needs platform. Not another mud buggy. The old professor Live free or die! Death to all tyrants! The truth will stand when the earth falls! No Shit!
@@Hennessey_and_smoke who cares if it is ugly? It isn't built to be pretty, it's built to be functional. You are kinda an ass and don't know what you are talking about.

There bad ass. This can go where an air boat cant. Like under trees and through thick brush that is dangerous for the wind props. And this is more quieter
This can go where an airboat cant. Like under stuff I had to lmfao hard at that but airboats go dry land and over levees soo i had to laugh there you've obviously never been on a real one. doesn't it make more sense that airboats go way more places than this boat would dream of for fraction the price. Just saying lmfao
Add a radar, a missile platform, that special paint, a couple of mortars on bow , ..and the 30 millimeter gun from warthog at the stern, and here ya go... and no alligator can make it alive 😁...
