We had plastic vent through our metal roof too. The snow broke them off as the snow shifted. I made some stainless steel diverters and installed them behind the vents after I repaired the pipes. Snow plows. 😊 Snow doesn’t have to move much to snap them.

If ever you will get any leakages during rainy season, you purchased seal joint, it comes in rolls per meter, aroud 20 cm width, aluminium color at top and black color at below, it joins gaps between two joints of metal or any other materials. You do the inquiries in hardware shops. Nice job. Jay Bharat.

@JamesCouch777 seems pricey for sure, but I'd wager the battery would last longer than the gas does in long term storage unfortunately. I can't wait for this tech to come down in price where it's actually affordable.

Hi marty an jules well jules your face and voice said it all when marty stranded you both on the roof. Even marty looked a bit concerned as well .with your son being away its good your neighbours came to the rescue. Jules you certainly didn't look comfortable up there . That will put you of going up again . The back of the house is coming together nicely. That's great news the chickens have started to produce eggs now and that is a really nice looking Cockerell enjoyed the video till next thanks

I would like to know which of these various power stations, can auto turn on the AC outlets once solar power is available from sun has sufficiently charged the battery, after a battery has bern drained overnight. The intended purpose would be a remote out building, to power wifi and cctv nvr and cameras. Such that, if power station runs out of power over night, once the solar panels have built up enough charge on the power station battery, it will automatically power on the AC outlets, without human intervention, so the wifi and nvr will have power, each will restart, so you can view cameras, without having to travel to the out building to manually turn the AC outlets back on. Please always test this functionality on all power stations which you review.

You would not have achieved me getting on the roof, with my lack of stability even on the ground I would be a total liability, it is one of the hazards of advancing age. Jules is one brave lady, not to mention a hard worker. I always thought that one golden rule when working at height was to have one person at safety management height to attend to things, ideally before they go really wrong. Please take care, if only to allow your audience to enjoy seeing the results of your labours, but really, because you are a lovely couple and a great family.

Martin, this is Hamil Martin. I have noticed that all the wood that is added is chalked. Why don't you put a bead near the edge of each board. I do it and it makes waterproofing sure and easy to do the chalk finish. Be careful and keep the videos coming

Or how about just crawl through the window that was on the dormer? Being that I am not the one that edited the video I don’t know for sure but after they were “rescued“ there was a part in the video that showed that the window was completely open. They may have opened it after the fact, but that would’ve been my first place to go is to any window on one of the dormers and check the windows.

Just wondering why are you still working to cut your wood work in front of your garage when all your work is behind the house. It seems like more work to clean up each day especially when you have plenty of space in the back of the house to set up all the tools you need to work with 😊
