"about... fifty... years ago me and my **cough** **cough** soldier friends... were in space.. fighting some exploding spider... robots with... a girl soldier that we still fought... back in earth, that saved us and her friend... and even our general.. it was epic.. she even killed the ultimate alien mastermind behind everything... ah fun times.. I miss general Morden.."
The ending, where the one of the 4 characters (depending on who you choose) throw away his/her gun is a reference to the fact this was planned to be the LAST Metal Slug game made, because the company bankrupt, then SNK came and hired the development team, giving continuity to this crazy series.
Even COD infinite warfare copy this space launch too in their game 😅 Here's that part, straight similarities between both of them ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cjsA13bBtpo.html
It's so badass, mankind so fed up with the Aliens they decide to take the fight to space in a show of force. We need more media depicting mankind as a force to be reckoned with when it comes to Alien invaders xD.
I remember this part, and the one where we go into the rocket. Remembering the feeling I had playing this when I was 8-10 years old I was so hyped to kick some alien ass!

Miku Desu Chan 2017 it's a matter of playing a lot (almost everyday) and memorize everything. i used to thought beating the game without dying is impossible, but the adventures of batman & robin which is another hard as impossible action game changed my thinking. i can beat that game without dying now.
@@phj9894 i noticed something: when you destroy an enemy plane, the pilot vanishes with the explosion, i wonder what happens with the enemy soldier's corpse after the plane explodes...
It's a trope I never get tired of seeing. There's something so cathartic and beautiful to see, it's weird to explain but it actually brings a tear to my face lol. The music, the setting, everything
Now he can return home to earth to his wife and kids where he invites the protagonists to coffee sessions and good time, after he was promoted to a high command Colonel, he recruited them to fulfill the most convoluted of missions but one mission stood out to test their resolve and strains the link between their friendships, will they persevere? Trailer coming to you live on metal action TV.
The only survivor of his squad and yet he still follows you boldly to the door, as if he's saying "Keep moving and do what you're good at, I'll cover your back!"
Best mission in any Metal Slug ever. I still like the sequels but there's no match for this. Just imagine: Raiding the enemy base to finish a long war, beatin' the rebel leader just to discover that the martians were behind everything and they decided to kidnap soldiers of both factions to weaken Earth army. So they make an improvised pace treaty and go after the martians; sadly, lots of soldiers couldn't even get close to the mothership and get KIA. The ones that make it to the ship don't have it easier as they have to fight martians and some enemies no human eye has seen before. Saving both soldiers and then having to fight against clones to escape (probably martians were experimenting clone mass producing to use them to invade Earth, considering how good the regular army soldiers are). Then the clone machine goes nuts, fight clones and zombie clones back and barely make it to the exit, just to get into Rootmars' hands and fight the martian leader as they're free falling to the Earth. Just epic.
They were heroes ,to the last man. i always loved their faction ever since i was a kid, and in M.Slug X when they fight with you against aliens was just unbelievably good.
@@StoicNatsoc seeing their corpses floating along with their destroyed rockets is quite depressing, despite being enemies, these soldiers died as heroes, because they died while trying to foil Rootmars' plan (actually, Rootmars didn't want to take over earth, he wanted to get rid of people who harms earth's nature/environment, this was revealed in Metal Slug Attack)
Oh that... No me lo tomen a mal pero a mi no me importaba mucho en ese entonces After all... They are the enemies .... Que siempre teníamos que matar But yea.. Is really sad now
They were so brave! Everyone of them probably knew the odds, but they fought to save their leader and to avoid a mass invasion on earth. And we showed to the Mars People: no one mess with our planet!
It makes a lot of sense why they wanted this to be the last metal slug. Look at all the boses from the previous metal slugs in the last mission. They producers wanted to go all out.
With the longest final level of the entire saga and the final scene of the credits it gives me to understand that here they wanted to finish everything, but I still like where the saga arrived, except for 7, in that game they ruined the perfect ending of 6 gane
@@yaelgarcia459 don't get me wrong, the 7 is a great game, it's just that I don't like its story because it ruins the ending of the triple alliance of the 6
I remember my first time on this stage. First we got the final boss from Metal Slug 1, then, 2. When we fight the final boss from the first time, inside the spaceship, I was like "OK, this is the final guy. I see what they did". Then, we have to save the other character and I was like "neat! Now we are going to escape the destruction and save Eri (I aways play as Eri)". Then, when we fall from the spaceship, the final boss catches our slug and the final battle theme starts playing, I was like "HOLY SHIT!!". It was a hell of a shock! The only time I got something like this was when I fought Sephiroth, back in FFVII 😂
Coming in 2021 just to leave a note, this game is literally my childhood, and although I'am 30 now, the moment I hear the sound I remember the same excitement as the little kid who dropped all his pocket coins on this game :)
@@yaelgarcia459 Marco and Fio are italian while Eri and Tarma are japanese, that's probably the reason. I'm not sure if they are brothers or something else.
Oh, one of the things on this stage I find genius! If you lose the Heli Slug/Slug Flyer and try to touch the ground with your feet, instead of a cheap death by touching it, your character just runs! It's perfect, because there are no excuses! If you die it is because you screwed up!

This my favourite metal slug. When you play for 30 minutes just for the last mission, and get to the final boss.... you teally feel the shit man! This is awesome.
back in early 2000's in the giant door part before the king mars first battle "dang why can't the door fully open?(as in can be walked through), we've been shooting this thing for minutes" "uh..maybe we can just jump over it?" "....oh" sigh, good days

*To date, it is, and will continue to be, the best mission of the entire franchise, the PEAK of this franchise, and if that were not enough, the longest, the only one that is at its level in terms of the latter, It's metal slug 6*
What I like about this mission is that it's not mars attacking earth but you attacking them. They were ready to fuck off and try invasion another day but you and the rest of the rebel army was like "Nope, come back, I'm kicking your ass"
@I Komang Weda Wijaksana No worries. I actually boarded the Slug Copter (also known as Slug Chopper) in two of my Longplay videos of Metal Slug 3. Here are the links to my Longplay videos of Metal Slug 3 in which I boarded the Slug Copter: Metal Slug 3 (Arcade) - (Longplay - Tarma Roving | Level 8 Difficulty | All Secrets): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SM9Jd6d1F-8.html Metal Slug 3 (Arcade) - (Longplay - Fio Germi | Level 8 Difficulty | All Secrets): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bky3gpa9QO4.html Enjoy! 😊👍
This final mission is way too long. Longest final mission in the entire history of Metal Slug. Takes more than half an hour to complete. While playing it for too long, our reaction be like "When it will end?" 35:53 the screen went a little back and the recaptured prisoner recount slot shows up and.....yes! It's finally over! 36:13 Final Mission Completed! Peace at last! 39:10 THE END!!! The use of the large "the end" in the end of Metal Slug 3 was because the company SNK went bankrupt after finishing their work on this game and it was originally going to be their final Metal Slug game they worked on after working on Metal Slug 1, 2 and X. And this game was also meant to end the franchise until Playmore arrived and continued the series with Metal Slug 4 as well as 5, 6, 7 and XX.
Holy shit man that's amazing that you can do that! I always try to run and gun the whole thing I should be taking my time. Thanks for showing me to sit still with the red things in the hallways, gonna be trying that next time!
This is THE BEST METAL SLUG MISSION in entire series...i died a lot... but i enjoy it frickin hell lot too ... waaayyy better than many new games....that have awesome graphics but no fun part
@guishermoibarra105 Thank you so much for your respectful compliment towards me and I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed my Walkthrough video of Metal Slug 3 (Arcade). 😊🙏 Thank you very much for that and for taking your time to watch my Walkthrough video. I truly appreciate it! 😊🙏 It sure took a lot of time to practice and study the whole game before making this Walkthrough video. I also had to be very patient. Countless runs were ruined while making a No Death / No Slug Damage run Longplay.
I love the new weapons on this game. Those iron missiles look like race cars! Just like in metal slug 2 teaming up with the rebel army to save your player that whoever you play and their leader.
Man, tô this day, I think it's awesome to see the Rebel Army rockets launching at the same time and, a lot of Space Slugs deploying. It's like, now we will kick the Mars Peoples butts and it will be in full force!
