You know Metal Slug 3 was originally the end of the original franchise as SNK got bankrupt after completing work on Metal Slug 3 but then the series got continued by a new team with not much original elements from the original 3 games and X and so with the extension of the series, Metal Slug XX is the ending of the story for good. Metal Slug Attack, Metal Slug Online, Metal Slug Code J, and more other Metal Slug projects are different stories.
