Agreed. These intro videos for the members have been centered around negative or rumors instead of just positively and unbiasedly appreciating each member with precise information that correlates with the message 😅 these videos are probably good after watching more videos but not as an initial introduction to each one - they feel all over the place.
Jungkook was using Korean age - he actually joined Big Hit and BTS (pre-debut) as a 13 year old, and debuted as a 15 year old. Being the main vocalist was a huge responsibility for such a young boy - its huge at any age, but imagine at 15, you feel the weight of the potential success/failure of a group of seven, and the agency, everyone’s hopes and dreams and years of hard work, all come down to how well you can sing and perform…Yes, they are seven, and they all felt it, and the songwriters probably felt it very strongly too - but JK was the main vocalist and he was only 15 at debut 🤷♂️ The amazing thing to me is that he has become such a grounded, sensible, kind, and strong young man. I think it’s a credit to the group, the agency, and their families that all of them have turned out to be such admirable men. He has a whole sleeve on his right arm. The hand tats are ARMY, but the way it’s written, it can also be V, RM, Y (Yoongi), and he added a +J for Jin/Jimin/JHope, and + signs between the fingers, he has the logo and a heart, and what looks like a crown on his index finger and a little face on his middle finger…I am sure other army will explain them better, I am rubbish at this stuff. 😂🙈 💜
while its a good lesson for the members to apologize instead of the label it breaks my heart he even felt the need to apologize. korea holds their celebrities to a higher standard than americans do with our celebrities. korea was NOT under lockdown yet because they were doing good at keeping covid numbers low so stores, bars, clubs, restaurants, malls etc were OPEN. jungkook went to a dave and busters type of restaurant with his friends called the 97 liners which are male members of multiple groups all born in 1997. and they all got hate and attacked because the covid numbers sky rocketed the next week and people tried to lie and say they were at a club wearing no masks and doing it during lockdown when lockdown STARTED the week after they were at the restaurant. all of his friends released statements apologizing either through their labels or on their instagrams/twitters. jungkook went MIA for a few months and then returned on a radio show with suga which was basically a voice only live stream and he ended up apologizing which is the clip you see in this video. ARMYs begged jungkook to not apologize because he really did not do anything wrong the entire country was out doing things not just celebrities and they were the ONLY celebrities attacked all of the other ones got off scott free and its because jungkook is the most famous so him and his friends got the most hate mostly jungkook though. i guarantee if his friends went and he didnt go with them they probably wouldnt have gotten in trouble. so many people excuse my language have a hate boner for bts and the members individually ESPECIALLY in korea because bts were never meant to succeed.
JK has a huge heart. He is emotional, very intense, loves a lot and has an absurd admiration for all the members. He is wonderful, loving and considerate towards people and passing by. 💜
THose were trashes left by other idols, they are not his trash yet he still helped the staffs picked them up.. Jungkook is one of the kindest, pure hearted, generous, humble human I've ever seen. also, despite his young age he is very introspective and wise. He is also an Idol with THE MOST talents in the world! He is highly gifted!
the stuff he had to apologize for are ridiculous. imagine apologizing for hanging out with friends and for dating rumors. even the smallest things are blown out of proportion to drag him down and thereby the group too. he's the most humble and talented person I've ever seen, so obviously people are gonna be jealous and try to bring him down. and, please react to "jungkook the main vocalist of bts" by Ida s 💜
It's wild that he had to apologize for such tiny, insignificant things that nobody with a life would actually care about. I suppose idols are meant to be so squeaky clean that some fans have to grab onto the most bland things and turn it into controversies but it hard to imagine anyone giving a damn about who a celebrity is dating or who they hang out with. It's the most boring celebrity news I can imagine. It sad that they make these people feel guilty about these things. You'd have to have absolutely nothing going on in your life to find any of those things semi-interesting enough to blow out of proportion.
The scene where he was in a yellow jacket is his graduation and the members attended. (They attended both his middle school and high school graduation). I can go on about JK…but I’m sure others already have. He absolutely loves every member and Army. Actually they all love each other. Those clips aren’t his graduation… the ones they showed were his high school entrance ceremony so he was going into 9th grade. They wear the same uniforms so it’s easy to be confused
Actually it was both his admission "entrance ceremony" to high school and his gradution too. If you notice in this clip he has 2 different hairstyle and 2 different hair colors too
The fact that jungkook turn out so grounded, well manners and a man of principles shows how mature he is. With the level of fame BTS have been achieved & the amount of constant pressure, JK could easily sway and turn to drugs/alcohol but he didn’t.
When Jung Kook says he was 15 when he joined BTS, he's talking about 15 in Korean age. This would have been about 13 or 14 according to our age standards.
15years old is Korean age. Jungkook became a trainee when he was 13 in American age and became a main vocal of Bts. Jungkook is our Korean’s national main vocal and national treasure. There’s no main vocal who can sing, dance and rap like Jungkook in the world.
One other thing…the comment about him being the most bashed (that seemed to throw you). Both JK & Tae are extremely popular & both very good looking. You have to keep in mind there are unfortunately a lot of people looking for any opportunity to try to bring them down. No matter how stupid the accusation is. The stuff he is apologizing for is ridiculous. One is going out with his friends that are in other idol groups during Covid even though Korea wasn’t in a lockdown then & they wore masks. The other was photos of him with a girl at a restaurant (his tattoo artist). The dating rumors went wild. The funny thing is they weren’t alone. It was a group of people. He said they are just friends. People still lost their minds because he may have been dating someone. The craziest thing I have ever heard of. Also of note him & Tae have never done anything that I know of that would be considered questionable in my book. But everything gets blown up with them. There are so many dating rumors with both of them. I mean they stand next to a girl from a K-Pop group at an awards show & on social media they are suddenly dating her because they “looked at each other”. It is literally that ridiculous.

Our JK is a sweet heart, humble, true, passionate. Strong physically and mentally. It was a great journey to see him, and his 6 hyungs, growing and becoming such a good young men. Specially the last 3 years, Jungkook changed a lot, knowing himself better, and affirming himself. Strong and muscular man with piercings and tatoos, free spirit who don't care about haters now. But when his bunny smile appears, he is still our baby Kookie , melting Army's heart. That's the point, with BTS : they are amazing and sexy performers on stage, they are role model, and inspiring human being by their messages and behavior, but they also are this 7 young guys, fill of anger, dreams, failures and doubt that we see growing, the kids who fight against prejudice and hate, the 7 crackeheads, clumsy, silly , funny boys that make us laught than crazy. BTS is not just a group we stan (I'm 58 years old, I love Queen, and Mettalica, the Stones and Van Allen, Dire Straits and Scorpions, and many others) , it's a part of our family. I still don't understand how is it possible for a woman like me, to feel so much connected with 7 Korean boys I have never met, but it is what it is and I'm happy with that and being an Army.

You are correct... Korean ages are different to international age. JungKook was only 13 when he joined BigHit and 15 when they debuted. His parents lived in a city about 6 hours away from Seoul. All the guys came from areas outside of the capital. So the older boys really did raise the younger ones. Even getting them to school, feeding, etc Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age. When you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on 01 Jan every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. .... EG: TaeHyung (V) born 30 Dec 1995 ...... current International Age 26 (Korean Age 28). ... 2 years difference So Tae born 30 Dec 95 is 1 year old, then on 01 Jan 96 he is 1 more year older (so they would say he is 2 years old, when we would say he is 2 days old.) So he was considered 28 in Korea since 01 January, we would say he is 26 turning 27 in Dec. EG: Hoseok (JHope) born 18 Feb 1994...... current International Age 28 (Korean Age 29)... .currently 1 years difference He turned 28 on 18 Feb - but will still be considered 29 in Korea (the difference is only 1 year - until Jan 1 - then back to 2 years difference) It's a different way of looking at age, from new years day - JHope is living his 29th year (since conception) - instead of - he turned 28 (since birth).... EG: Jeongguk (JK) born 01 Sept 1997...... current International Age 24 (Korean Age 26)... .2 years difference He was considered 26 in Korea since January, even though we would say he's 24 turning 25 in Sept. So JK started with BigHit in 2011 at 13, but he would say 15 in korean age. At BTS debut on 13 Jun 13 JK was 15 in international age (17 in korean age) International Age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and international age became trainee) Jin - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo) Suga - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo) JHope - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo) RM - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) Jimin - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo) V - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo) JK - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo) In most series they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust. Jungkook’s hand tattoos say A R M Y on the knuckles, with pluses in the middle and the letters are done in a way so that each letter can be changed slightly or used as the other members initials. On his middle finger, he has the 🥴 emoji, with a crown on another finger. Below the knuckle tattoos is a Purple Heart, because purple is bts and armys colour, as V/taehyung created the meaning of it at a concert by saying “I purple you” for the first time abs explaining that it means “I will love and trust you for a very long time” (not exact words). Borahae means I purple you btw so that’s what it is if you didn’t know yet. On the side of hi hand is 0613 which is bts’ debut date (9th anniversary soon!!!). He also has a whole sleeve of tattoos which consists of his favourite quote/life motto from Nirvana, “rather be dead than cool”, Traditional Korean designs, a matching tattoo with his kpop idol friends they call “the 97 line” (for the year they were born in)which says truth, a microphone, his birth flower, a part of the Korean flag, a really cool skeleton hand doing this thingy 🤘and tons more stuff that I can’t remember 😭

I have three children the ages of BTS members. I can’t imagine leaving my 13 year old (like Jungkook) at Big Hit or any company to be a trainee. I know it was hard for him, but also hard for his family. I’m glad he found brothers to help him out. But he wasn’t in BTS in the beginning, but a general trainee. He only talks about his early time with BTS for the most part. The only thing I have heard him say about the very early days is that he missed his mom and would cry. 😢
Jungkook actually was 13 when he joined (was born in September 1997 and joined in April 2011), but in Korean age it's 15. Koreans count as one year old at birth (it's said they include the time in the womb) and add another year on January 1st. So, Taehyung who was born on December 30 of 1995, for Koreans was 2 years old on January 1st of 1996, when actually was just 2 days old. :O

He blows my mind, image being 13, leaving a small town to go to the city to do like a “Star Search” get rejected, then have 7 agencies after you and then choose the smallest company that might not make it. That take some huge brass +%&$ He was 15 in Korean age when he became a trainee, but actually 13 by our age because his birthday is in September like you mentioned. He debuted 2 years later as the main vocalist. Those scenes where he is almost passing out, I swear he had altitude sickness on top of the crazy drawing performances. IT SUCKS!!!!! As a parent watching the stress they went through at such formative years stresses me out but also so proud that they leaned into each other for strength. He moved 200 + miles away from home as a very shy 13yo and his parents couldn’t afford to visit often so he’d go a year or more without seeing them. The guys really raised him and that he’s so amazing and nurtured is a testament to the older members as much to himself and the foundation his family laid. JK is all emotions and heart on his sleeve. He’s got ARMY and the initials of the BTS members, logo, crown, frown face. He’s grown into such a dedicated caring man who also treats Army like his playmates and just loves to chat and tease (I swear his Instagram live Q & A sessions are ridiculous answering dozens or even hundreds of questions). Now all this to say he really loves to be a teasing bratty younger brother to his members and they adore him and tolerate/amused by his antics. Thank you for BTS week! When you said, "Be that light in the world," I had to laugh. One of their Japanese songs is called "Lights" and that's exactly what it's talking about. Being a light for other people and them being a light for you. The song also has a cool video that you might want to react to. Be careful though. That is why i feel very upset when people tries to show and express hates on them. Hey Joy tell me where you are and if they come near your city we can go to one of their concert, you have to experice it. I usually travel and go alone to their concert, but when I get there is like I am in a big family reunion, people bring food and drinks to wait in line, there is music playing and Army tell their stories and of course the actual show(I have no words for that) it is a lovely experience
I loved this week. The reactions were great and I saw new songs that I hadn’t heard yet. I can’t imagine growing up in front of the world the way they have. They have sacrificed their youth for this dream that they’ve worked their butts off to achieve, yet they always vow to do more, be better, work harder and give all the credit to us ARMY. Jungkook was very young when he started , he graduated middle school and high school while being part of BTS and right after debut at 15 he was considered the main vocalist so he definitely had a lot of pressure on him but he had his best brothers there to guide him, but he also tried many things on his own. The clip he was apologizing in is when they went to New Zealand for the 4th bon voyage. He was saying he didn't think he was being entertaining enough so he apologized. He is a sweet heart, he cares and loves Army so much. He was a wide eyed overwhelmed 13 year old ehen he started and he has developed into an amazing talented human being. Hi ! I don't know if someone already talk to you about the tatoos, if it's the case sorry for the repeat ^^. I don't know all of them but on his hand you have the logo of ARMY and at the base of every fingers you have A.R.M.Y. If you look closer, you will see that the A doesn't have a barre (sorry I don't really know how to say in english) but it's a V upside down basically. You get RM when you erase the A and Y de ARMY. Above the M, on his finger, you have a J for Jin, J-Hope and it gives JM for Jimin. The real name of Suga is Min Yoongi, so MY. And that's how you get everyone you love in one smart tatoo ^^

I watched a long video about some of what he has gone through, and physically, some of it is flat dangerous. I hope they are treated better now by the professionals to care for them because extreme dieting, water fasting before shows , then the extreme exertion is horribly hard on the body. You actually burn through electrolytes, muscle, cells open and weaken, kidneys struggle. It's harsh. I think they have staff now that help but wow. And that is what you were seeing in some of the clips. his body so depleted (after extreme dieting) it was basically like shock. I've seen it, and I almost fell over in shock that is was allowed to happen to them. Jungkook just gives with his everything it's profound to hear and watch. He is a beautiful soul.

i think its bcoz theres a lot happening at that time, the tattoos and long hair, which a lot of people didnt like, the dinner with friends during covid (this blew up but at that time there is no lockdown at that place but everyone made such a fuss about it), the car accident (minor collision with a taxi, no one was injured).

Jungkook got not just hand tattoos but have a whole tattoo sleeve and RM recently got "7" tattooed Jimin also have a few tattoos in korea tattoo is kind of controversial as back then, the japan, and korea gangs would use tattoos to identify themselves and in live broadcast and TV shows even till today, if you have tattoos, they will make you cover it or they will blur it out and at first jungkook got his hand tattooed but hide it and then slowly work on his sleeve but only wear long sleeve but recently it is more like "I dont get a fck" as he is seen wearing short sleeve and doing whatever he want because jungkook said ever since he was young, he always want tattoos as a way of self identify. And in kpop, there isn't any idols who is tattooed as heavily as jungkook just search on internet "jungkook tattoo you will see how much he have some of his tattoo back then and more recent and he is still slowly adding to it. Just yesterday, Jhope show off his recent tattoo and Jin It is a small "7" on his waist in inkigayo just like RM who show his tattoo on instagram as 7 is a important number for them since in kpop, contracts usually last for 7 years and most would not be signed again or groups would disband because some members would rather focus on their solo career it is very rare for groups to stick together for 7 years (because of members, or they are not allowed to because now they are "old" kpop is very very competitive) but both bts members managed to have solo careers like acting etc and still stay together as a band and 7 is how many members is there. One member of BTS said there is actually alot of people that are jealous of them how close there are because in kpop sometimes the members is not as close as it seems and there is group bullying etc. But bts is very close to each other and is very open to mental health etc. And is one of the few few few group who produce and write their own songs. (btw jungkook has "A.R.M.Y and a purple heart tattooed on his hand and have the member's initials, crosses, a tiny skull hand, a crown, and a bts logo" on his hand bts his sleeve arm tattoo have much more. Tiger lilies, an red eye etc. Jimin also have the second most tattoo

He joined at 15 - Korean age. Which means 13 or 14 US age. In Korea, a child is 1 year old when born. Then everyone adds another year on Jan 1. They don’t count age based on actual birthdays.
They are all so very aware of the fact that a lot of their fans are young and look to them as role models. They know what they say and do can affect people and that they have a responsibility to those fans to be the best role models possible. Unfortunately - with living under a microscope - every supposed "wrong move" is broadcast and amplified with emphasis on making everything seem worse than it is. They are constantly being dragged down by the media who has a vested interest in seeing BTS fail. BTS didn't go thru the normal path to becoming the worlds best - and those networks are hoping for their failure - as BTS have proven you can do it on your own with your fans. Yet still each time, they will apologise in case they have unintentionally caused offense, and make sure they don't 'reoffend', they never get involved with online fights, rather they save their 'vitriol' for their cyphers. And yes - their team is amazing. Most of the core team have been with the guys since the beginning. And you will always hear the guys praise the team behind them - even giving them more credit than themselves (RM said once that their success can be measured... 50% credit goes to ARMY... 5% credit to each member (35%)... and 15% credit to BigHit (Hybe) When you see their 'Bangtan Bombs' or any of their backstage/offcamera moments you only ever see the guys helping out, thanking the staff and treating them with upmost respect. They are very cognizant of the fact their team is what helps them to achieve perfection.... and they and their team (along with ARMY) have truly become a family all working towards the same goal. FUN FACT - A member of the government is tying to have the laws changed in relation to tattoos/tattoo parlours in South Korea. She uses Kookie as the main example to bring through the changes. This is because as he is such a great role model for youth and the fact that he has decided to get tattoos has not changed him into a bad person or a criminal gangster. I think it is not that the fans hated him for getting tattoos, but they were worried people would assume he is bad because he did.
This week of BTS thing you did was such a fun idea. I can't wait to see which videos you do next to explore the members more. If you ever wind up watchin 'The Rise of Bangtan' series, you'll see exactly why they were so exhausted by the time 2018 rolled around. Honestly it would have been totally reasonable if they had gotten burnt out by their 2nd or 3rd year after their debut (adding in the years they trained to prepare for their debut). I'm surprised it took them that long. I was exhausted just watching everything they had to do in a day and realizing that they were getting very few breaks from that sort of momentum. The human body isn't meant to work that hard for so long with such little rest while under so much stress.
in that video you asked he was talking about his car accident i believe. He had an accident he hit a taxi while driving too fast but fortunutally nothing happened to the man. So in that bonvoyage programme he was a little down because he had that going on
