Personally, I understood the line “the tears I cried could’ve iced my chain” as Scrim saying he felt slightly remorseful for spending many moments sad when he could’ve been grinding his rap music. Idk if that’s really what he meant, but found it pretty relatable. A lot of times I feel anxiety while trying to relax, as if there’s something important I need to be doing. But it’s really interesting the way you interpreted the line. Thank you for the honest reaction. 👍🏼
so happy to see you doing $B again, your def one of my favorite reactors when it comes to watching the boy$. I definitely recommend checking out INLFTRGMH part (IV) i think it’s their darkest one and my favorite.
They’re fully independent and own their own label GREY FIVE NINE. Scrim makes their beats and they write their own music. They’re cousins from New Orleans. They running the game. They’re the most streamed independent artists in the world currently.
If you wanna hear them in a song only singing cleans you should totally listen to Forget it by them. I actually love that song. It’s really vulnerable and real.
What he means when he says "The tears I cried could a iced my chain" is like him saying his tears, pain, struggle, etc are what gave him the ability to buy a big ass chain with diamonds all over it.
If you haven’t liked any of their clear singing so far, you’d probably like That Just Isn’t Empirically Possible, shits so good. Also I come from the same musical background as you, live in the south, and I don’t fw many rappers at all, but I love these guys
Sorry for the 3 comments, but I agree that you should do a few songs per video, it’s fun seeing the vibes switch up so fast and at the end you can pick a favorite of the 3
Also for your questions about the length of the music, some modern artists prefer not to repeat themselves more than once. Eventually you’re like “okay I get the idea” They want is to get their points across and stop early so the music doesn’t get played out. Keeps you coming back, and it’s easy to digest. I prefer it at times because you can throw on a playlist and listen to a few off the same album and it’s like 5-6 minutes
Wild to hear you don’t like the singing, a lot of people love it and tune to it. That’s dope though I liked the videos cause your insight made me laugh at you laughing at it here and there 😂😂
I feel that for the first song man. The only high end “jewelry” I’d get is a nice watch. The rest would be clothes and maybe shoes. Tattoos and art would be a close second 😂
Im a 90s baby and rap songs back then, even early 2000 used to be 4, 5 mins but idk my attention span cant take those long songs no more. Even when i listen to like superman by eminem, i love that song but cant take those 5 almost 6 mins no more 😂 So yee idk SSB songs might be short but i like that. Short and powerful . Edit: you should check out you’re now turning into 66.6 fm with dj rapture
Can't be to harsh 😂 they definitely spilling blood and tears on these tracks and dudes laughing 😢:/ they're on another level bro it's coo if you don't feel it 😅
I'm a big fan of the boy$ but honestly you gotta get to know the older stuff it sounds like you would dig the raw eps and mixtapes the newer stuff is more of like reflections of past times they're outgrowing some of the addictions they had and other things thats why this is more singing out their emotions. Don't get me wrong they still talk about crazy things but they definitely evolved
You should check out Rubys solo project its completely different he went back to his roots he was originally in a punk band way back its called Tragic Love Songs To Study To -DUCKBOY
