I was wondering how you would react because I also listen to heavy metal and I found it funny when some kpop fans thought that this song was "just noise" because of the electric guitar, when they don't know it's a lot more melodic and softer than some heavy metal songs out there that they haven't heard before. As a metalhead, Kick It is a very easy-to-listen song lol.

Everyone has that reaction and I regret not knowing them since debut but the three years i’ve been a NCTzen (N-citizen) watching so their music videos, vlives, Neo Zone track videos and teasers alone kill me. I also noticed the yellow & black theme in the MV which many have said it reminds them of Kill Bill but i’m sure the colors represent Bruce Lee’s jumpsuit he wore in his movies & paying homage to him plus if it was representing Kill Bill then there would be references within the song too. I knew at some point they would reveal they are ninjas; giving off Karate Kid & Regular vibes with next theme and style, the more I watch the MV I believe it’s somewhat of a tribute to Bruce Lee or something relatable to him. I waited so long for this and now it’s here i’m speechless 😶 They didn’t come to play, Ive been trying hard to put their storyline together it’s been extremely hard and I have upsettingly forgotten allot of their story from their previous music videos (If there is one). I love how they incorporate Bruce Lee even though he’s chinese, universal legendary master and actor within their track, I know there’s been many kpop/cpop artists who’ve incorporated Bruce Lee within their songs and i’m sure his family would be very happy to hear that he’s not being forgotten and I am so happy to see jungwoo back from being absent for awhile because of health issues. I really love how the song sounds and they look so good. I just found thisvideo, and the comment you pinned is absolutely fantastic explaining NCT. However, as of April 13/14, Dream changed its system. Because so many fans didn't want to see the Dream members split up because they have such good chemistry (they basically grew up together), many asked for Dream to become a fixed unit. Thankfully SM listened, so it is now going to be an official fixed unit. They will have a comeback later this month and promote that album. After this next comeback, all the members that were supposed to graduate will stay with the group, and Mark who already graduated will actually rejoin Dream. They will be a fixed unit, but also able to participate in other units like many members do in 127, U, and WayV. I just thought I would update the info!

They have more instruments in there and it's a very good song overall. it's a complete different style of song from them, but that's what they do, they do everything and every genre of music. Sm artists never does just that ONE style over and over again. lol .

nct is split into different units for different reasons/concepts. nct dream is for the teenagers; those who are not legal, nct127 stands for the longtitude of seoul and usually have more heavy bass kind of concepts, nctu is the unit that is interchangeable. Any member from any unit can be included, as long as SM Ent. feels they fit the concept of the specific comeback. WayV is the chinese unit and are mainly based in china!

I would say that NCT 127 has an R&B vibe in most of their songs, specially their last album; but their main tracks are always very diverse in style thus, worth the watch!I prefer songs that are more rap centric, that have a nice beat rather than EDM blown songs, but even those are nice, when it comes to NCT. Like others have said, NCT has a total of 4 sub-units, atm. Each sub-unit has different styles so you should check them out as well :)

As a producer some of the reese bass sounds you hear here 4:51 and here 5:06 are like something you hear in a Dubstep Serum preset pack. so I'm thinking whoever helped produce this used some presets. no surprise because sampling and use of copyright laws in Korea are much more liberal and free than other countries, so you'll find Korean producers using samples and presets from the most unlikely places.

NCT is Exo and red velvet’s little bros in the industry. They came from the same company and interacts and collabs a lot. NCT has a lot of great songs and great variety because of the different members, but they don’t put all the members into one song. They are split into subunits like this subunit called nct 127. I’m sure others have explained it though. Their concept is not really difficult to understand, people just make it complicated for some reason.
