Fall Out Boy is such an important band to me. Patrick's voice is absolutely unmatched, and the whole So Much (For Stardust) album is an absolute masterpiece; I remember hearing this song for the first time, and actually having tears running down my face, it's so powerful.People seem to sleep on how actually amazing they are!

FOB is one of my favs when it comes to bands so I hope Ill be able to give u some background and answers to your questions. Starting with, yes, Pete Wentz does have long hair now, its been like this for past few years im pretty sure. From what you've said you only heard two of their older songs that are from album which came out in 2005. Their experimented a lot with their music over the years and tried a lot of different styles while still sounding in a charecteristic for them way (mostly thanks to how recogniseable singer's voice is). Pete Wentz was a frontman of the band in the beginning not because he is hot. He wanted to take pressure off the singer who was completely not interested in being "face" of the band. Actually when Patrick (singer of fob) auditioned for the band he wanted to be their drummer they just kind of made him sing cause they thought its a good idea. Dude just wanted to play an instrument and not bring attention to himself. Singer isn't always a frontman of a band is what i wanted to establish. Yeah it is like that often but not in that case. Currently Pete and Patrick kind of share that role, science singer is less shy/doesnt have that big of a stage fright as he did back in the day when they just started. He used to wear hats in order to not see the crowd from under them while he sang. He's not in this particular video but he is in many other ones 0:53 :D You should totally check out some more of their stuff either here or in your own time. I especially reccomend album Folié a Deux, it's my fav and definitely one of the best they have. The newest one So Much (For) Stardust (song u reacted to is title track) is great too!

Loved this reaction! I think this most recent album is one of their best, you can tell they've taken in all of their musical experimentation and are bringing it together cohesively.

Lmao I’m late to this video but I wanted to add to some of the things you said: the reason Pete was so much more prominently the face of the band is because while Patrick is the main composer and singer, the band started when he was 17/18 and he’s always been painfully shy. It’s only in the last few years that he’s even really started talking on stage. He was there for the music, but before FOB he was a drummer, he never wanted to be or expected to be the focus of attention and didn’t think he’d handle it well, so when Pete asked him to be the singer, Patrick only agreed on the condition that Pete would be the face of the band to take that pressure off of him. So yeah it’s unusual for a band dynamic but it wasn’t the sort of thing where Pete stole the spotlight and the others resented him for it, it was just his agreed upon role to be the frontman based on what all of them wanted

Fall Out Boy were more Punk/Pop-Punk in their early years! I suggest checking some songs off of their record “Take This To Your Grave”

You’re mistaken . Fall out Boy WELL before Maroon 5. Also Patrick Stump the lead singer has ALWAYS had equal exposure with his best friend Pete

I def disagree with the second part I didn’t say fall out boy wasn’t first but they def leaned more into the maroon 5 style over the years
