My sons are 19 years apart. They both love metal. I took the older one to see Metallica, 'cause he introduced me to them. 20 years later, I took the younger one to see Metallica. But the very best was when they both played Metallica, together, as they can both play guitar. I'm one proud metal mom! 😁🎸
I love how much of a metalhead Vivienne is! When I first saw her as a Reactor, it's not something I would have expected. It just goes to show you you can't take anyone at face value.
I think it's crazy so many of y'all are judging these kids lmao. Most of them are obviously hearing these songs for the first time, and even if they aren't and are kind of fans (like vivienne), they're obviously enjoying it. Why the hate? Just let them vibe, jesus. As someone who loves Metallica and is around their age, let them headbang lol. Seeing them headbang means they like it, which as Metallica fans, you should be appreciating. Not judging just cause they aren't as diehard as you want them to be.
I think people's biggest problem is that they're not really honest reactions. It's come out that everyone is given instructions on how to act and the gist of what to say.

I've listened to most songs for the first time myself, and I've NEVER reacted this poorly to any of their songs, especially One or Master of Puppets. I know a thing called respect. For example, I know the difference between ROCK AND METAL
YES! I'd love to see just a Cradle of Filth EP. I bet they go from hating it to loving it. Once they get that feel of Dani's voice being more of an instrumental addition, but not songs chronologically. You have to end it with one of their best songs like "Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids" or "Nymphetamine" or "Beauty Slept in Sodom" or "Bathory Aria" or... (I could go on and on) and DEFINITELY do much better research when you're explaining the songs, themes, lyrics and albums!

@@derkommissar4986 I used work with a bunch of metal heads in a kitchen in Laporte, Colorado. We all loved Metallica but hated this song. I came up with the alternate lyrics. Every time it came on the radio in the kitchen everybody would sing it the "gimme kirk, gimme Lars" way. Hilarious!

Viv and Jaxon are my two favorites on the show, because they just kinda GET it...I remember back when Jaxon was in his early teens reacting to stuff and he was just....getting it. Viv is also dope, just like Jaxon she gets it, she's got great taste in music.

Nothing Else Matters was written by James Hetfield lead vocalist and guitarist of METALLICA. Metallica and Miley were on the Howard Stern show. Elton John made a video call to talk to Metallica cause he did a cor of the song with Miley for his charity album. James Hetfield ended up crying during the call cause Elton said that Nothing Else Matters was one of the best songs ever written to him.

I love how Janelle touched on how often metal is overlooked as just screamy scream music when a lot of it really does have depth. I think more and more lyrics are ignored over the music itself. Read into the lyrics, a song may just transform to something entirely new for you. THE FACT that Jaxon picked up on not liking Lars' drum tone for St. Anger is hilarious 🤣 That snare is iconic in all the wrong ways. I personally didn't hate that album but yeah, the snare tone was not great lol. These are my favorite videos with Angel in them. She always seems to resonate with these.
I would love to see a react to women in metal. Like react to bands like jinjer, nightwish, arch enemy, spiritbox, Hailstrom, within temptation, amerathe, kittie, you know bands like that. The reactions on there faces would be priceless and awesome.

Metallica absolutely did not go radio-friendly on St. Anger, i mean literally the title track's chorus goes "f-ck it all f-cking no regrets" and the songs My World and The Unnamed Feeling both have several f-bombs as well. also lmao i knew at least one person wouldn't like St. Anger because of the snare sound lolll
She's a young kid, that shares all the opinion of the internet. She gets on my nerves a bit, but we've all been there i guess. Kinda "look at me" energy. Metallica almost can't do no wrong for me, i love St. Anger, even the sound of the drums it's what makes that album unique, and it's one of the best albums for me to listen front to back, when i want to release some anger, super fun album and i love the personal straight to the point lyrics. Only complain about St Anger, is that some songs just didn't need to be that long... but c'mon Frantic, The Unnamed Feeling... Shoot Me Again, awesome riffs all over, it's a album that i love to blast in the summer specially, reminds me of when it came out. Not radio friendly at all. Also love Load/Reload... i guess LuLu it's the only one that is not for me haha. This being said Ride The Lightning is my favorite , and Master of Puppets i think is the best one.
