There is a theater dedicated to him, with a statue of Luciano next to it, and every year on the anniversary of his death there is a show in the main square where they honor his memory and career and they play some of his most famous performances. We never forgot him and we never will

Pavarotti was 66 (very very old for an opera musician), so he wasn't at his prime. Also, his father was dead 3 days before this show. So not the most happiest and not the cleanest Pavarotti here. I still remember Michael Jackson came to Sanremo (the most famous Italian music festival) as honour guest because of Pavarotti, in fact they showed on the stage together that time, even if unfortunately they didn't sing but still they gave some great time on the stage showing friendship and respect. I'm very happy you reacted to this song, which I consider a masterpiece and makes me proud as Italian of course.
