hi! i'm one of the rockin1000 people (not in this one video though), and you got EXACTLY the point of it!! it's not about going viral or doing an outstanding performance... it's about the human experience, you meet people of all ages from all over the world and share something extremely special. you forget about the world and get goosebumps all over your body, the adrenaline doesn't leave your body for days!!! thank you for sharing this!
I was in Cessna in 2016 and attended the Rockin’ 1000 concert. I’m in the Rebel, Rebel video they made at the concert wearing my Walla Walla t-shirt. If you know, you know. So fun.
Rockin'1000 is an Italian organization that have events in many parts of world. After this tribute, Foo Fighters come in Italy in Cesena in a concert for free, Greats and Taylor Hawking R.I.P.
I am from Germany and have played two of the subsequent concerts and must say, it was a fantastic experience and I am very happy having done this. And you are dammed right: sticking together and playing Rock and Roll makes you forget everything bothering you.
You should have to find the video of all the story with all the replies of Dave Grohl (he spoke a little Italian) till the happy ending (the foo fighter concert), I think there is a documentary of the whole thing. After that they repeated the experience and organized their own shows played by rock in 1000 (not to call any other band ). I don't if now it's over or not but everybody could participate to the mega band after a video casting.
