Wow, this was a very good reaction. Francesco Renga, the singer, left Timoria to pursue a solo career, a great loss in my opinion. We didn't need in Italian music scenario another pop singer singing shallow love songs while we needed a good rock band with an even better singer. He really has a great voice, beautiful timbre, he can belt it out to the top of his lungs with no hardship, wide vocal range, you never hear him breathless, he's perfect for rock music. It doesn't hurt that he's a huge stage presence and could be a perfect fromtman but I guess "too many roosters in the hen house" means trouble. Today is 53 looking younger, his skills are still the same but I can't help it, I don't like his catalogue and I believe it's a waste of talent. As far as the band I am sure out of Italy they could have had much more success, they really were good.
Porco cane hai proprio ragione.
The singer has an amazing voice, his name is Francesco Renga. He later left the band to start a career as a solo pop singer with a lot of success. He also won the Sanremo's Festival, the main music show in Italy. I suggest you to hear "Raccontami" or "Angelo" from his later career, both great proofs of his voice skills.
The best Italian band/artist ever. Period. I was in my late teens when Timoria released their stuff. I was listening to GnR, Nirvana, Queen, Helloween (Kiske Kot7K I & II), Red Hot Chili Peppers and Aerosmith at the time, and I genuinely thought they were the same quality. The depth of the lyrics, the instrumentals, the sick vocals, the production... I loved everything. Absolutely criminal of the record labels not to have marketed them internationally more vigorously. The pathetic internal fighting didn’t help much either. But congrats to the reactioner for having found them. About time the RU-vid community woke up to Timoria! You can now put Vasco aside and just indulge into Timoria’s discography, which regrettably isn’t the largest, but includes one masterpiece after the other! Lots of beautiful tracks there. Enjoy!
These guys are from Brescia, As I am. I remember perfectly those years…..crazy years for the music early 90’s. You should listen to their song Sangue Impazzito…..goosebumps man! Great choice! 🤘
Ti giuro la stavo cantando stamattina!!! E pensando che difficilmente fuori dall'Italia coglierebbero certi riferimenti..(l'andare all'oratorio da ragazzini..)
Francesco Renga is the singer. He left Timoria in 1998 for a solo career making melodical pop songs and abandoning rock (unfortunately). Timoria went on with other 3 albums with another singer before breaking up. Omar Pedrini, the guitar player, was the author of the songs and he had a solo career too but sticking to his style of music.
Timoria, probably the best italian band of the '90s. Francesco Renga, one of the best italian voices ever. Renga and Timoria separated their ways in 1998 for several reasons, but I will always keep three of their albums in my playlist. "Viaggio senza vento" is one of the best italian rock albums ever and it is also a concept one, quite rare in italian discography.
Wow, I had suggested u this song some weeks ago and I was going to do it again! In my opinion, Viaggio senza vento (1993) is the best italian hard rock album ever, no doubt! And Francesco Renga has got one of the best voices, even if he just left hard sounds several years ago. Good choice bro!
Yeah, it's not hard rock, it's kind of grunge/Seattle sound (as An, in fact, mentions). Don't get me wrong, I liked them (and, well, I also sang this song with my band 😬) but please don't say it's hard rock!
Timoria is a band that I loved deeply. I saw them for the first time live on the “Viaggio senza Vento” tour. It was an amazing concert of which I keep an indelible memory in my heart. Besides them in the same period there was another wonderful band that came out with two wonderful albums. Their name is Karma. In my opinion the best Italian rock band of the 90s. Listen to “Il Cielo”.
Everyone here is writing about the singer, Renga. The Soul, the songwriter, the leader of the band is the Guitar player: OMAR PEDRINI. When Renga left he wrote EL TOPO GRAND HOTEL, Timoria's greatest success and artistic pinnacle for sure. Sole Spento, Cielo Immenso, Vincent Gallo Blues...a real masterpiece.
You really should try to listen to the Italian Hard/Alternative/Psychedelic/Grunge Rock Band Karma. “Il Cielo” is their first single ever (released in 1994), and “Neri Relitti” is the first single of the last album K3, released in 2023. You will love that
Ciao Ang 😍.. TIMORIA🤘 what a nice request they made of you!! What a dip in the past, the beautiful music I listened to. nice guy video.🔥🔥 excellent. 👏❤️
Singer has a solo career from many years (after quitting Timoria at the end of '00). Really good singer. His name is Francesco Renga and he looks very 'clean' today 🤣 Short Hair, no beard, many love songs
YESSSS!! TIMORIA 😃🤩 you have to react to more of their songs ❤️ you’ll absolutely Going to love them ! and also thank you , that’s bring back my memories to my adolescent times 🥺
When Renga left the band he killed the band {and "lost his soul" in my humble opinion}, Timoria weren't "them" anymore, they could have become one of the greatest Italian band of all times way before other Italian bands like Lacuna Coil gained fame and respect all over the world {and sadly ironically not in Italy!}. I would suggest you to listen to "Sangue Impazzito" {Blood gone crazy} with English subtitles - I would trust no other translation than mine, by the way, most translations always fail a bit with the shades of the lyrics' beauty - because it's a masterpiece of international value, a true poem in music, with amazing singing, very deep and emotional. Definitely their best song ever and one of my favourite songs of all times by any band anywhere, period!
Great ,indeed, "sweet reaction" like Renga sang. Amazing band in studio and live even better. They might be one of the few bands i would love their eventual reunion. Are you ever listened Elio e le storie tese? You can try many songs: Cateto , Pagano , Carro, Plafone, Supergiovane, John Holmes...
my fav Italian band ever! it's a shame that Renga left in 1998 and then they broke up. Now there's the guitarist, Omar Pedrini, who was also the song writer, that keeps singing and making albums, but he moved to a more british style, if you know what I mean. You should listen to "Piove", I love it!
Curious fact. Francesco Renga, the singer, in the later solo career became a pop singer. He married a former italian showgirl and pop singer, Ambra Angiolini, to which the song "Delusa" by Vasco Rossi is dedicated. Well, maybe 'dedicated' is not correct, since he sings about sexuality of teenagers in TV shows... in Vasco's way, of course 😁, sex, drug, and rock n' roll... anyway, Delusa is a WILD song and you should listen to it !
Exactly! Recently in an interview two bandmates of Timoria confirmed they usually listened to Alice in Chains and Soundgarden and thought "this genere is fenomenal! Handsome! why don't we propose something similar here in Italy in italian??" and they created this album that was a Concept album!
You react at Ennio Morricone music, i would like to suggest you a singer, her name is Hayley Westernra, a kiwi girl with an incredible angelic voice, and her dream was to meet Ennio Morricone, she was only 18, but already famous for his voice, but Ennio was always refused to arrange his music for singer, he did that in the '60 for many great italians singer, but he wrote above all for the cinema industries. Anyway a friend of him did listen the voice of this wonderful kiwi young girl. When he listened, he been really touched and he accepted to meet her. And then....they meet in Rome and she has sing with the music of Ennio Morricone, arranged by him. The album is named "Paradiso" . Maybe it will cougth you're attention....and sorry for my bad english...
It was a great rock band, I grew hearing at it. Unfortunately the singer is actually a pop star and the rest of band went on playing a couple of years without him. Timoria will always be part of a great Italian musical time with other bands like Litfiba, Bluvertigo, Negrita, Subsonica, Tiromancino and so on. I'm happy an other Italian rock band is hitting actually in the whole planet.. Fuori di testa!
The entire record "Viaggio senza vento" is a fuckin' good trip, man. There's not a filler in the whole tracklist.. and u're right: it can definitely be heard some Alice in chains in their tunes. Too bad Renga left (to pursue a pop career) and the band didn't keep that heaviness..
Rengta is a great singer, so many singing styles he can cover perfectly, unbelievable singer. Listen "Sangue Impazzito" probably their most moving song
YOU can also listen to Litfiba 'El diablo' or 'L' urlo' albums and Elisa 'Labirinth'... YOU may can judge Francesco Renga is just a Singer for teenager girls..
Thanks very much indeed for this, I'm really glad you liked it, and not only you, as I can see from the comments. It's Rino like Reeno (I guess) :-D Thanks for asking!
If you like Francesco Renga's voice you could try to listen "Raccontami", one of the first songs of his solo career, maybe too "melodical pop" but a very beautiful song.
Hi I always love to watch your videos ,love Alice Chain Disturb and much more you got pretty cool voice.keep up the good work . It I'm wondering if I missed something I was looking for your reaction on Ateez new mv
And you may like this experimental rock band from the early 2000's. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3sO1RFivFrw.html -- pitifully, they didn't go anywhere but this album was something else.
Grande gruppo anni 90, grande chitarrista e compositore Omar Pedrini.
There is a glaring absence in your tour of Italian rock music: Luciano Ligabue, that is arguably Vasco rival for the title of most popular rocker in Italy You may have a look at "urlando contro il cielo" for example. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nXIbUvfr9fY.html
