Amazing work, bud. Love your approach to painting (stole your Harad recipe for my boys) and the rate you get through the minis is insane - faces and bases is my new mantra for 2023!
They turn out beautiful mate. I like how the green of tufts really tie them well together gives them a bit of colors. I think i missed the question video, i wanted to ask you a good 500 points easterling army? i have 5 metal cataphracts, starting from there, i am thinking all army metal, if possible, maybe more elites less units, maybe hero resin if none metal. Cheers mate. Looking for more live sessions, very inspirational.
Thanks man I love me some tufts. Nah not missed the video still taking questions, do you want me to save this easterling one for the video when I do it?
@@smoothbrush4722 Oooft I think if you wanted to take the most competative army you want the dragon emperor and legion. However if they are very cheap I would just get them for my collection anyway. Amdur can still be fun and you always need captains and banners. Not sure Id take kamul anymore.
They look great! We have similar intro attempts 😂 Cough to clear the throat like it'll make a difference and F and C a bunch at the situation and yourself. Normally I have to Frankenstein together multiple takes to make a usable one 🤣
I know I'm late to the party but would you do an paint list for what you used for these minis please? Also would you ever consider doing the paint list for any of your upcoming painting guides please? I find your style very easy to follow on to but I'm awful with names of paint so end up just grabbing a brown and and ruin what I started.
Thanks man! No problem at all. Yeh sorry I say the names in the video but I know my Scottish accent can make it hard to understand so in future I'll try list all the paints in my vid descriptions I do apologize! This is what I used: Nuln oil Stormhost silver Rhinox Hide Mechanicus grey Retributer armour Reikland fleshtone Liberator Armour Moornfang brown Cadian Fleshtone Agrax Earthshade Flayed one flesh Depending on your budget I would aslo get abbadon black and ceramite white( these are good for dulling and highlighting colours) Also just handy for future projects. So if you want a coloured sheild rather than brown I did I would get 1 colour + assosiated coloured wash. Beards are lots of different colours You have 2 browns in there Grey flayed one for blond beard If you get black and white thats 2 more beard types and ofc if you want some gingies you can throw in a jokaero orange and highlight the moornfang brown If any of this doesnt make sense let me know :)
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth O don't even know off hand. It's came from having a drunken conversation with Sean Rossato. He said I should get like 25 of them and I said you sound like a wise and reasonable man. So. 25 goat riders it was. I don't play often. I mostly like to paint and pretend I have friends.
@@briarsandbantams All the best plans are laid when steaming. That is fucking nuts Id love to see that in a game haha. Sean did mention I should do an all cav Thrandaddy list xD. You need to try that list though that sounds mental haha
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth An all mounted Thrandaddy list would be absolutely gorgeous. You should do it. And make Thrandy a ginger with a scrubbly beard and a bit of a paunch. Make him even prettier that way. Maybe riding a giant, antlered war bunny, too. Call it the Halls of Maccdaddy army.
@@briarsandbantams Hahaha that sounds incredible. I dont know if I have the skill or the funds to pull that off but I would love it. Perhaps I could convert the plastic Loth elves somehow xD
This video is amazing!!! I love iron hill dwarves!!! Do you have a tutorial for the mix that you use for the bases?? Thank you!! And sorry for my English, im from Spain 😀
Thank you so much that's very kind! I think I do a tutorial in my osiliath video but I can't remember. It's geek gaming scenics patchy planes. Then I add Tajima1 tufts too them. Then moonfang brown base rim. If you have any questions let me know :) No worries you English is probably better than mine :P
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth Im just getting back into the hobby and was going to place an order for paints today (i have none) i was just going to wing it and hope for the best but your method is great so i thought id ask!
@@ddavidson1988 Thats very kind man. Awsome your getting back into it! @@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth I like how your first reaction was to film him hopping around the carpet spill crime scene and swear at him 🤣. Top content.
