Metallica - “Dyers Eve” but the intro is “To Live is To Die”

The one complaint I’ve always had about AJFA (besides the bass) is the sudden transition between the ending of to live is to die and dyers eve, so while I was at work I had this idea of just combining the 2, I have absolutely 0 knowledge of audio editing / producing so the cut is very evident but I still think it’s pretty cool, lemme know what you think!

I mean, i think the sudden ending of to live is to die represents the sudden and unforeseen death of Cliff.

The sudden ending for me is cool, it’s more the jumpscare of dyers eve coming right after, if I listen to TLITD on its own it doesn’t really bother me, great song nonetheless

It's not an intro to "Dyers Eve", it's the actual ending of "To Live Is To Die", that's the way it always was.

No, the outro to 'To Live is to Die' is just guitar, not drums. So it's the TLITD Intro spliced onto the beginning of Dyers Eve.

To live is to die, is the final moments of cliff. Dyer's eve is the band's anger and sadness towards losing him. Thats how i see it atleast.

I agree but it’s still such a sudden cut off and transition into dyers eve, it doesn’t flow well in the record in my opinion, doesn’t feel super cohesive

Well harvester of sorrow and and dyer's Eve used to be the same and hypothetically you could confuse the two back to get there to get the breakdown of the demo and the original intro which hypothetically my guess would be it be called Eve of sorrow

I'm curious where you got the idea that they used to be the same? The songs sound nothing alike and the original demos of each song don't share any riffs or anything like that. Not saying that you're wrong... I'm just a pretty die hard fan and I've never heard that anywhere.

I must be crazy, but every time I listen to this album I remember it leading in like this. Then I found out it never did lead in like this a while ago.
