Hmm. So, does not all the channels have been remastered one-by-one? Because, I know; When recording songs, it is necessary to have separate channel recording for each instrument.
@SigTheSauceMan

Remastering means improving the quality of something with means that allow improvements that were previously unavailable. The amount of Bass guitar would stay the same. However, I can hear a massive difference in the resolution of the audio. There isn't nearly as much white noise that the original had. It's so much clearer.

I am not sure you understand what this song is about. The song is NOT about parents who did not support their child's dreams, it is about parents who sheltered their child from the REAL World. The parents are "Woke Parents" which I understand is not something that existed when this album was created but the same principle applies. There are parents who raise their kids telling them that everyone is equal, and that everyone is special and that you can do whatever you want with your life, they shelter them and convince them that the world will accept them and conform to whatever their dreams are. SO the child grows up thinking that the world "Owes Them", that they are special and the world is theirs, THEN when the child becomes an adult, he realizes that he is NOT special, the world does NOT owe him anything, he can not cope with the reality of "A cruel and unjust world" His parents lied to him his entire life, sheltered him from reality and they left him completely unprepared to face the world as it really is. Look at parents today. "Everyone gets a trophy just for showing up", we do not keep score because then those who lose might feel bad about themselves. Life is not fair, nobody is special, no one owes you anything, Cheaters do in fact sometimes win, truth-tellers sometimes do lose, you can do everything right and still lose because sometimes the game is rigged. THIS is the real world, but kids today are being lied to by their parents and when they become adults they will realize that their parents (in trying to protect them from the REAL World) will have left them helpless and unable to cope.

@@VL1975 well from what I experienced With this song Guitar only diffcult part is the solo because you have the harmonic dive bombs that’s the hardest part because harmonic dive bombs is know to ruin your guitar tuning thanks to wammy bars and the Wah pedal bloody tapping changing time signatures constantly slides like thank god they did not add sweep picking but most of the riff is tremolo slides gallops and power chords which is pretty dam easy with a pick Drums well yep it’s difficult your basically going fast as possible changing notes constantly for 5 minutes The bass well if there doing it with fingers and not using a pick then yes it’s insanely difficult because tremolo a power chord insanely quickly with your hand will make it bleed or hurt and you have to continue for 5 minutes Yep pretty difficult but not as bad as meshugga bleed or animal as leaders CAFO or most cannibal corpse songs

That might be true for this particular remaster, as I suppose the original master tape has been mixed/equalized in a way that even though the bass parts are there, we just can't hear them, but usually the master tape contains all the original audio information intact, as such even during a simple remastering it is possible to bring back lost information.

Mrbpis I don't know where you got that from but that's the most retarded thing I have heard and in this comment section that is a hard thing to do. It was mixed by a guitarist and a drummer. Not sure if there's a harder song they've made. Yes there's Master of Puppets and One and others, but...parental trauma? That's something _everyone_ will understand. Plus the riffs are brutal!

this whole album is just awsome, best in their discography (in my oppinion). Its the most technical and i just love how james sounds in it. also the guitar tone is just ear porn. people often complain about "lack of bass" on this album.... and yea there are no clear "cliff burtun'y" solos on here but jasons bass makes the guitars sound more powerful and rich.

@maynardburger
@maynardburger 6 лет назад
Another reason people say the album has 'weak bass' is that the guitar sound is also very mid scooped. The guitars have fantastic distortion but it's not a very 'rich/full' sound. There's LOTS of room in the mix at low-mid end. And I dont really think this changes much. I still really love the songs for the most part, but it just doesn't have the 'wall of sound' that I tend to prefer for metal.

I think this song is, by far, one of their most beautiful and IMPORTANT songs they ever wrote. It is rarely, if ever, played live these days due to the 200+ bpm and the absolute skill it took to play it at all; but circling back to my original argument, no one can deny the meaning behind this song is inarguably relatable to so many kids who are stuck in awful families, or even the foster system. While people love to say metal music is satanic, I love to remind them that metal music used to be the only genre of music where men could be emotional and truthfully speak about sensitive political matters without being judged by their counterparts. Metal music isn't evil. Matter of fact, it is, in my opinion, the most pure, straightforward music there is. Beyond the heavy riffs, mindblowing solos, and emotional rage displayed in this genre is significant intellect. It takes an intelligent mind to be able to appreciate the value of true metal. The people who "just hear loud noises" are the close-minded.

When I just a kid I left home after I had an argument and before I took off my parents were heading off to work, this was when I was going through a cycle of depression and I also had difficulty being able to speak or understand things as I was also on the autistic spectrum, this song hits me hard every time remembering the pain and stress I put my mother and father through, at the time I never understood anything and never realised what I've done and what they were doing for all this time, all of these things they were doing for me was because they cared for me that they loved me, when they came back from work, they couldn't find me as I was out of the house, as I was gone they were fearing the worst possible scenario, that I might have been kidnapped, disappeared without a trace, ended up lost or even dead, I regretted that very moment and wished I never had done that, to this day I wondered why I even did it, I don't know why I felt the need to get out of the house and put my own life in danger, it could have been a fatal and tragic mistake. My mother and father originally received word from a neighbour who was a close friend of a relative from my father's side who lived across the street, told my parents that the front door was open and the lights were still on at night and he checked to see if i was home and nobody was home, my mum and dad had to rush back home from work, it was the most terrifying moment my parents had to endure and I hated every moment of what I did to them, what I put them through was the worst thing that I ever done, no words can describe it, my life was going through a downward spiral after what I did, I was never the same since then.
