Holy fuck. Hetfield is seriously one of the best rhythm players in history.

These guys have been together for 34 years and still kickin ass Alot of bands break up around the 10 year mark Metallica for life.

Death magnetic is a great album very underrated in my opinion

James once said in an interview that he was not very confident on this song. For me i think it's 100% metallica sound. It's like a rollercoaster and long enough. Should definitely be played more live. #MetallicaRules

Man that is such a marathon of a song changing tempo with starts and stops for so long, and they nail it live. One of my favorite late Metallica songs.

datb double bass at 13:09 and James saying 'Luck runs out' twice and hitting 'out' very low. My reason, why they started playing King Nothing is because of its passage, where James is saying:"I wish i may, i wish i might, have this wish i wish tonight,..." and it has something to do with the new album stuff (som low wocals). As they start recording, they seem to get a lot more tighter in their playing and James' voice sounds better too.

That's my favourite of the album, lots of riff changes, power, pauses, gallopping. That's 100% Metallica.

I feel like a derp, but I just now noticed upon revisiting this video that you can hear Kirk and James individually on the left and right headphones. I love it! Whoever did the editing/mixing has them crystal clear too. It has always been a thing of beauty to hear them so locked into each other's rhythm playing like that.

WOW! Amazing, you can see that they play their death magnetic stuff much better than the early albums stuff. Really, this is one of their better performances in a while. They're maybe getting better for their new album. Can't wait. Metallica for LIFE.

Metallica at their best! They practice to be sharp for their fans and then bring it on stage. I've never seen a more professional heavy metal band with this longevity and still rocks! Metallica ALWAYS brings it to the stage/fans.

The other day I listened to some 2004-2008 live recordings and Lars has improved so much since then. Amazing.

who cares if lars didnt play so good, who cares if kirk didnt either. james doesnt sound like he used to, and Rob isnt playing like he used to either. they cant make it sound like the recording and they cant make their music sound like it did 30 years ago. get over it, none of you are true fans if you complain about their playing like that. lars isnt the best drummer ever, so what? get over it and listen to the recording if it makes you cringe that bad
