Well there's a profession of a drummer , or guitarist , or any other instrument , but guys from Metallica not a tools but creators , after all this is most important in terms of making art , not just playing "someone else" music.
He doesn't have writing credits on almost every song without a reason. He has a lot of musical input and makes the compositions together with James, not just the drums. So he isn't the worlds most talented drummer, but without him Metallica would be far less successful.
Talent never disappears or completely vanishes. It may only fade out until fading in again. Lars had been sort of lazy in some periods over the years but looking at his early drumming I never doubted him; plus, he learned drumming himself with no strict rudiments or whatso ever. Thanks to our little Viking friend that he still kicks some ass at this age! \m/
They need the play the bridge every single time. Everybody loves it. I don't think anybody cares that James doesn't get to bellow "ARE YOU ALIVE??!!!!"
LOVE for Lars from Finland, another Scandinavian folk und country! Listening since 1989 from 10 years old. Hes the best drummer in the world-not the most tech but plays with heart, brains and balls. Fuck all the jealous Lars haters, Met family backs him. Thanks Lars and MetallicA for coming to play again for people, you have such an huge good vibe influence on the world-most any cultural phenomenom or artist ever I think!
Vittu mita paska😂😂😂Dude what are you saying??? You're talking like a 12 year old fanboy... No one here hates Lars but things need to be told for what they really are!!! Lars fries potatoes with his battery!!! As a musician, drummer is a fart, his genius and talent is elsewhere and that is in his managerial qualities, his ideas, keeping the group together, studying a strategy to make money and catch as many fans as possible from different musical backgrounds... This is the true strength, talent and genius of Lars but don't tell me about Lars as a drummer, NO!!! there are talented drummers who deserve respect, old and new but not Lars!!! it's a matter of honesty and respect
I am sorry, But how can ANYONE give Lars shit. Almost 60, and this guy is still a metal thrash amazing rock drumming God! Besides the fact that he not only manages the band business, also writes and arranges. Those who don't understand, will never understand....
Yeah man and believe it or not I used to hang out with them when they first came to the east coast NY( Staten Island actually). This was before release of the Kill Em All album even when Dave was still with the band.We would hang out at the bar having fun !!’Good times👍🤘
Varios baterístas de hoy en día incluso algunos famosos de niños soñaron con ser Lars Ulrich en mi caso yo jugaba a que era el 😊 grande Lars grande Metallica.
can never understand the hate for lars... the guy literally pioneered thrash drums. I mean how many hard rock drummers get that kind of dis. total boss
Amazing video. Thank you! Any tips for how you got so close? I'm amazed at the view you got, while people opposite you in the Snakepit probably paid at least double.
Imagine watching a 60 year old having an amazing time, enjoying his amazingly successful and fulfilled life, and feeling the need to shit on him from the stratospheric height of a random RU-vid comment, you must be a very happy person
@@xvincent Hey man, I have early entrance too for 2 shows this summer. How early did you get to the venue to get to the first row? Is the early entrance an advantage?
I just filmed 2 songs for concert. The rest was all singing and enjoying. After having seen them so many times I realised that after a few years you have only vague memories of a particular gig, so now I try to take a souvenir or two from each concert. I wish I had done it for example when I saw them in 2008 for the first time!
Lots of empty seats. I'm a bit suprized. I noticed in another Metallica video there were many empty seats also. I guess Metallica isn't as popular as they use to be on the international level.
He has a lot going against him. He's less objectively good looking than the other three, he is short, he has a very no bullshit slightly abrasive personality. He is probably the primary driving force behind Metallica though and you gotta respect him for that if nothing else.
