And it's kinda mind blowing when thinking back the history Metallica & GNR shared together, that GNR wouldn't even exist without Hanoi Rocks /Michael...
Hanoi hung out with Motley in LA. GN'R said once they wouldn't even exist without Hanoi. But then Razzle died, and Hanoi quit. However Micheal was never forgotten, he actually appears on A Year And Half... pt2 video with Slash. So, there's a lot of history and connections between those people from LA and San Francisco area and at least in Finland it makes sense to share a stage weather Metallica ever liked of hated everything related to glam side of rock.
Michael Monroe would have been... had not it not been for one fateful night on Sunset Strip. The world missed out on the legacy that one of the greatest Rock 'n Roll bands (and lead vocalists) would have shared with us. Michael Monroe - 'nuff said...
I guess they did and they do. We only have to guess the reason behind this... Michael however appears on A Year And A Half... pt2 in backstage with Slash.
Hanoi Rocks was a hat band!! Sami, the bass player, put that clear some years back. Haha... Love that band and Metallica. Hanoi was a notch way above other bands in that genre.
For all of the ignorant fools wondering why James and Lars weren't there, this was one of Kirk and Rob's "doodles" (improv jams they often do at Metallica shows). Here's the official video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RKYDgt6rBAc.html
Metallica plays thrash metal, but during the WorldWired tour they tried out to cover a local song for each night, this time it was rock 'n roll with a guest.
Just be happy that they're cool enough to play with him - thrash metal and glam rock are the antithesis of each other. Also, any member of Metallica can play circles around any member of Hanoi Rocks.
MaceIII ...Im just saying that the old school Metallica I remember from the 1980's hated the glam bands and wouldn't have given them the time of day much less share the stage with them, but times have changed I guess.
Metallica usually do if it's not their own song - just all their fans think all the songs they play are their own...................don't get me wrong , Metallica's early stuff was exceptional and game changing but hate the fact some of their younger fans don not realise that some of the songs they play live are not their own and the bands get fuck all from one of the richest bands around........
