To be honest, this is the biggest breath of fresh air I've had since the beginning of the pandemic. For me, seeing these guys play together like this is a major sign of hope, and an injection of belief that things are going in the right direction. If you're a Metallica fan, this should serve as a beacon of light at the end of this tunnel ... And it's not a freight train.

I first heard this when they did it and I thought it was pretty cool, but I never knew the why they did this until just now while reading the 72 Seasons interview with James. Now I know the importance of this song after listening to it again and man! The impact of it hit hard for me. I got a little choked up listening to it thinking about what we were all doing during the pandemic and how lost and disconnected a lot of us were. Metallica floored me again with this one. Long Live Metallica! 🤘❤

For those who keep saying that Kirk's guitar is silent ... the guitar is perfectly audible in the right channel. If you look at the pickup selector, the guitar is set to create a round and deep sound, perfectly matched to James' acoustic guitar sound. For me, the whole sound is simply perfect. And I think those 4 guys have a little bit of experience on how to play live. They certainly have more experience than me and 99% of those who criticize them.

james voice keeps getting more and more melodic i love it, i mean him from 89 would certeinly be like "what the fuck happened here" cause he had some sort incredibly powerfull and enjoyable sing-scream but now is just him singing and it's just.... wow

It's kinda amazing that it has been almost 2 and 1/2 years since this was released (2022 over here) I just came back here for the first time this year (literally I just remembered this version some minutes before writting this comment) and I got surprised by how time went by so fast, specially since this one was kinda popular when released

this shows you that is James who's the musical core of this band. You could have him playing this alone and it would be 100% better. Every time I have seen them live it's the impression I get, this man is one of the biggest frontman singers of rock history, cause almost by himself he carries the music of Metallica while performing.
