Jammin some Metallica!! 'Blackened' is such a great tune! Hope you dig🤘🏼😝 . . I proudly use and endorse: Meinl Cymbals Vater Drumsticks (5b Universal) Predator Percussion Snare Drums
I'm 50 years old and took up drums 2 years ago because of videos that vulnerable and talented young men and women like you have produced. Now I'm hooked and only wish I would have started 35 years ago when I was your age
You just slayed that song! I’ll never forget seeing them playing this song in 91’ at the Pontiac Silverdome. They were like gods. It’s something I’ll never forget.
saw them in 91(or 92...memory is a little faded....) in Mobile, Al. Hetfield made eye contact with me and my friend, then flipped us off. greatest moment up to that point in our lives, Lol!
Loved this drum cover. I know I’m late to the party, but I really enjoyed this. I’ve been a Metallica fan since 87’ and it’s cool to see young musicians checking out what I grew up on.
Not that she didn't do a great job but don't have to have great meter to play along with a song track. You just have to stay tight with it. The song keeps the meter for you. Having great meter is the ability to keep time without the aid of click tracks and metronomes. Concerning Dyer's Eve she would just have to keep up with it which requires great stamina.
I remember buying this cassette and the first time listening to it. Blackened was the first song. Helped tar my neighbors roof for 5 hrs to buy it!! I would’ve worked 10 hrs! Blackened is still my favorite Metallica song to this day. Well done young lady👏🏽
I remember buying this cassette and also when I first listened to it. Couldn't even understand it. Going from Black to Justice was iiiiiinsane. It's still an insane album. 😍
@@Berealfool Cassette tapes were a part of life. They were far more portable and rugged than CDs, and much cheaper, too. Plus, not everyone had CD players back in the day, but everybody had a tape player.
@Nasa s I once saw an interview, from about 1987, when James said Trapped Under Ice is Not a song about repression, or stifled creativity, or not about being able to be yourself; he said, 'it's a song about a guy who's trapped under ice!!' ... still wonder if he was being serious ... lol
tape of cassette is unforgettable, better than any kind of todays stuff such as apple music or any other services. its like a book or photos or smth like
And Justice for all was the first CD I ever bought when they first came out back in the 80’s. Hands down my favorite song on that album. Excellent work Brooke
What most people don't realize is she is actually playing along in real time thus the flaming in audio. She is exhibiting real feel and excellent musicianship.Great Job.
From the standpoint of a guy who was a kid in 80s and 90s that was doing the same thing in my jam room back then. Im super proud and excited to see you jam this out with such care for each individual beat and do do so on this platform you kids have today is so dope !!!. Rock on sugar !!!. Your a badass..
Fantastic Brooke!!! I stayed up till midnight listening to the release of this album when it first came out.... played on a local radio station and was by far one of my favorite songs off the album 😁 You nailed it again as always!!! Keep on Rockin’ !!!! 💕
Dude you are so lucky that you lived in an era where Metallica played on your local radio. All our generation has is frikkin Bieber Drake and Miley Cyrus on the radio lol
Yeah I do feel lucky!! 😁 Was in high school 10th grade..the station is actually the same but they unfortunately do not play full albums anymore. There was a local college station that had a metal at midnight show no editing no censorship it was wonderful!! Siena College they used to play metal 12-5 am it was Fantastic 🥰
Very well played. I used to jam this album a lot with my buddies back in the day. Blackened to this day is still a vicious piece of work. I wish more girls like you existed when I was a kid. Hats off!
Aweomse vid. Reminds me of my younger self playing this album through my bass players amp and drumming along. So much fun to remember. Thank you for posting
During the verses, I like the fact that your playing quarter notes on the high hat. It creates a distinct sound between kick, snare and hats. Excellent job Brooke!
@@inspectorbudget no. It’s eighth notes in the recording. She’s most likely doing quarters because she doesn’t feel like playing eighths for most of the song.
I just found your channel and holy shit you’re my now one my top 5 fav drummers. I would love to see you one day live, especially with the new band Plush
Wow you made my day, a gorgeous young girl who can play Blackened... One of my all time favorites tunes, well done young lady! I had private lessons at the age of 7 all the way until I was 18, and I was never at the level that you are. Talent runs through your veins, and I'm jealous. Awesome job!!! Loved it!
