How many times you wrote/tell/feel/have to wrote/tell/feel this line? Its boring to say that. Dont you feel that? All the thumbs ups are Jerrys, waiting to be fetched by Rick and Morty. Wow!
Good god....this brings tears to my eyes. I'm almost 50 years old and Tool will always be my fave band. Listening to them since '92. I've seen them in so many places before they became huge. The fact that young people are turned on to them makes me so happy. And this young lady is incredible. What good parents she has
I'm 51. I had a college friend, we were both pretty heavy drinkers, he introduced me to Tool a little before they blew up. I was in awe back then. I said of them and as a point of comparison of intensity and energy 'Metallica is EXplosion, but Tool is IMplosion. [That was my sense anyway, a tight and controlled but intense energy].) This girl, what can I say - impressive - she wails and hits all the sounds!
I'm a guitarist, but drum covers are so satisfying. I just love the clarity of the drums in covers. When you listen to the original track, the drums are more compressed with the rest of the band.
*The Changes, The Offbeats, The Cymbal Work, The Double-Bass, The Bell Work, The Rolls, and man just ALL IT TAKES TO PLAY THIS OR ANY TOOL SONG! Not Easy at all!! GREAT JOB BROOKE!!*
Not an easy song/drummer to copy, the world's current best living drummer and I've been a drummer for 47 years. Miss my mentor/teacher/inspiration John Henry Bonham every single day. RIP buddy. Really miss you you. 💔💔💔
My brain can't even comprehend how difficult and intricate this song must be to play on the drums. How long does something like this take to learn?? Total respect. A very talented young lady.
I love to see the current generation embracing music this way. My son's appreciate the music of my generation without any interference from me so it must mean something.
Very well done. I'm a big Tool and Danny Carey fan and a drummer as well. I know this isn't easy by a long shot and while people think you need to replicate exactly when covering, I don't. You added your own touch to it and is fantastically represented. Keep it up! Respect!
GLORIA ETERNA A TOOL!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very cool. One of my greatest memories is watching Tool during the 10,000 Days Tour where they performed pretty much all of 10,000 Days except The Pot. Danny Carey performing his solo during Right In Two was mind-blowing! Excited to see Fear Inoculum Live... eventually.
salsonwheels the crazy thing is, he plays with his hi-hat in the middle of the rack toms, making some things easier and I can see how much more difficult it would be without that hi-hat in the middle
OH MY GOD I thought I was just listening to a live version of this song and then I changed windows and I see this ANGEL playing the BEST COVER of this song I've ever heard. You go miss. You are a treasure. I am genuinely swooned.
You nail every beat you study, we definitely share the same hobby when it comes to sound choices.Goose bumps are our best friend.Keep beatin, the 333 people that dislike this are all flute players!
She looks like she's played this song a thousand times, can't believe how effortless she makes it look. And from listening to Tool myself, i know they have a very "special" type of pace in their music...
Hohmygod you are incredibly talented, and are already *so far* along toward being one of the world's greatest drummers at such a young age. As another female drummer, you are beyond inspiring to watch
For a brief moment I was upset that I didn't see this when I went through all the videos on the channel. Then I realized this was just released today! It's a great day.
This is like Differential Equations for me. I see it, but cannot physically calculate or explain how to do it. And I have a 1000% appreciation for it. Simply humbled by Danny’s creation and your ability to cover it accurately.
How did you,...2 months ago, before I saw this video, know I was going to say exactly that???. Maybe you didnt know, but I know we both watched it,...Thats what I came up with trying to say something. SPEECHLESS
Just WOW! Killer cover brooke c I've been a drummer for 30 years and have three teenage kids all involved with music, watching you play made me feel proud as a parent... hope yer folks are as well! Keep bashin those skins😎🤘🏻
This song, considering drums, goes all over the place and back around. Such a strong song with great drumming sound. I can close my eyes and you truly don't make any mistakes. You are devoted to this and it clearly, beautifully, shows.
Well she’s not exactly playing what we are hearing. WATCH at 2:30. Hmmm. We’re HEARING a ton of Danny’s drums happening in the fill but we see no playing nor do we HEAR any drum sounds from this young lady. This is “DRUM ACTING”. This is not someone playing a Tool “cover”. lol
I have always admired your taste in music. I look forward to more Tool drum covers in the future! You keep getting better and better, all together. Great job Brookie :) keep it up!!
Awesome. I remember I saw Tool for the 1st time at Lalapalooza in the early 90's, then again for the Undertow and Aenima albums. Maynard never failed to sound the same as he does in the albums when live. Awesome playing Brooke....I'm going to have my little girl watch your video tonight and hopefully get inspired. You are a really tough act to follow though.
Favorite part of this video is how loose you keep it. Whenever I drum/strum to Tool I tense up pretty bad just trying to keep up. Have to remind myself to keep it loose and just feel the groove and this video is perfect example of why
