Haha dude I know ...as much as I've heard this song ...goddamn ....it's like when TOOL did that alternative version of Pushit live ...I like it...where did this come from with them?
@@the_unforgiven_13_8 Agreed. We saw Metallica a few years back and I was very surprised to hear them play The Unforgiven III. They didn't play it the first time I saw them after Death Magnetic came out so I was pleasantly surprised.
@@mr.metalhead719 St. Anger is definitely a super raw album, I agree. I would say that the lyrics, in terms of what James was channeling, is up there with in terms of digging deep/rawness. He stated in an interview that songs off of Load/Re-Load are some of his favorites, just because of where he went musically and lyrically with them. They're some of my favorites.
childish thrash metal snob here, i have no problem with these types of songs, and i love em. the reason i think these songs arent played as often is becuase james is struggling to sing them, ESPECIALLY fixxxer.
I lost absolutely all of my shit when the intro turned into the actual song. It has been my favorite song for decades now and I knew that seeing this live would be a once in a lifetime thing for me. I had a slight hope they would play it that weekend, but this was next level. Love the respect they gave to the Load/Reload era.
This was totally me as well. Started freaking out during the intro, definitely shed a few tears throughout the song. I never thought I’d be able to see that song live❤️
They played this song live at Rock in Rio Lisbon 2008, and I didn't appreciate it enough in that moment, I wanted faster songs to be played in the gig. Well, such underrated song, to be listened in the calm days.
Bleeding Me is my favorite Metallica song. It’s a culmination of everything I love about music and Metallica. Potent vocals, very haunting and melodic, heavy enough, oddly captivating. I’ve heard it 300 times and always stop to listen to it.
I worship the Load and Reload era. I am now 40 but I was in middle school when Load came out and while I already loved Puppets and Black album, Load was incredible.
I agree, I love Load and ReLoad. Honestly, it’s my favorite era of Metallica. I wish they would go back to writing songs like this, where they experimented with their sound and had a much different and unique sound.
In fact, there are already two concerts in a row where they played it again. And again James said "This song moves a lot of feelings in me" It's not textual, but it's what he meant that the song moves him a lot.
@@EDDIE_CARP I’ve been at their 3rd European concert in Florence, I’ve had a hope to hear this song life, but they have played “No Leaf Clover” unfortunately… I can’t say that it was a disappointment, definitely not, but it was unpleasant because “No Leaf Clover” is not as beautiful as “Bleeding” is. Anyway, it was amazing experience, and I really hope somedays we will enjoy their future “Load” anniversary shows…
My friend and i were musing about what songs they'd play and the entire weekend I kept insisting they'd do Bleeding Me. I told them, "I just feel it in my soul they're gonna do Bleeding Me." There at the show, the intro tapes start and I'm still skeptical but once James starts that intro I literally start shouting, "NO WAY, NO, I TOLD YOU." Definitely one my favorite concert memories. Top 5 for sure.
My favourite Metallica song, I just love how it builds and builds as he's fighting his demons and then there's the release with that wonderful guitar solo which fits perfectly with the lyrics and what he's saying , and then as the solo ends you feel like he's come out the other end and everything is good again, it's a song that has always brought me round when I'm at my lowest as it gives me the strength to fight......
I started listening Metallica when I was 10 years old. Today, 24 years later, I can say that this song still moves me every time I hear it. What a great song!!
I’m ashamed to see so many comments about how many of you have always loved this song, these guys had a huge influence on me in my formative years, were my favorite musicians for many years. Somehow I missed this one. I never gave Load / Reload / Garage Inc much of a chance. But hey I’m happy I found it now all these years later. Never expected to have new Metallica that’s this good. Reminds me of why they captured my attention so hard way back when….
saw this live and I didnt even remember that intro, i do remember crying mid song was my first metallica concert something i dreamed of since i was 9 (im 23)
Being at this concert was just amazing I cannot believe I was there and to have my brother right next to me and making a dream come true a band of brothers with my Metallica family all around 🤘🏼
This was my second metallica album, I was ten when it was released. I rner vividly my shock when what I was expecting to be trash metal came out to be the rawest rock hard 🙃 I ever heard till today. Pure metal genius..
This is one of many songs that will in my eyes make Metallic the best band to ever be or will be . Disagree if you must. I am the fifth member ....... ..
Not only is this a belting track that I have always loved but you can tell this hits James hard and he's letting it all go after his more recent troubles. Most likely the best live version you will ever see of this track! Not always done with the cool intro either.... Bloody awesome!!
@The Hop- I totally agree with everything you've said about this Amazing Masterpiece of a song, but I would kindly suggest to you mate to see the live version at Woodstock, NY, East Stage 1999. Then you will know for sure which live version of Them All is The Best by a Country mile.😉 Respect. Metallica For Life. 🤘🇬🇧
amazing performance....i got bit by the Metallica bug in 1982 and i have seen them over 20 times.....IMO, they are the equivalent to Iron Maiden for an american band both in longevity and brilliance

and he messed up the riff at 5:52 little bit, the ending :), actually not sure if it was mistake or he palmed muted on purpose that ending note - that part is so powerful, one of the riffs with themost energy...
Maybe it's because I 'm listening to it in my phone, but compared to the album version this sounds like a high school band playing it for the first time. I love the song by the way. One of the best songs of metallica. Maybe they should stop doing lives.
