I never quite understood the hate towards Load and ReLoad era. The songs are very soulful, the lyrics powerful and relatable, and James' voice is more empowered and dynamic than before, we feel the harshness but also the feelings in it. I really love those albums, especially Load, and The Outlaw Torn is on my Top 10 Metallica's favorite songs. About this video: what a performance! 23 years after the song came out and it still sounds good live. A fucking awesome live performance for a fucking awesome song! Greetings from Brazil!

Load and ReLoad are criminally underrated and under appreciated. If taken for what they are they are great. No they aren't Black Album 2 or thrashy like everyone expected but they are 2 fantastic hard rock/metal albums with major blues influences. James' vocals were fantastic on these gems.

I'm mesmerized by the way James is just completely in the zone during his solo. When Kirk, Rob, and Lars just stood back and watched James in awe was so fucking cool, they just stared at him like "Wow". It's so cool to see how after all these years they are still passionate about each other's musical abilities. Gives me chills.

Watching people grow to appreciate Load and Re-Load over the years has been fun.

After 30 years of listening to Metallica this is the one. This is the best song they ever wrote. This live version is great. It's weird watching it because it feels like the song is bigger than any of the band members up there playing it? if that makes any sense.

For me Metallica is at their best when they just jam, the last quarter of Outlaw Torn is a great example. I've always absolutely loved the outro guitar solo James lays down here.

James may rule the rhythm guitar world with an iron fist, but goddamn he can lay down a killer solo when he gets the chance to as typically seen on longer songs like this. It truly shows how talented he is as a guitarist and musician in general especially considering he does all of it while singing too.

One the most unrated but most powerful lyrics behind this masterpiece it’s really James Letter to his family and the Metallica family. We love you James. In 40th anniversary when they did Fixxxer at the end you can feel the emotion that which in most people with hit them and bring them to tears as well mine. What ever your addiction is your Strong and will pull through have Faith and pray.

Everyone is just so tight and into it, Lars is hitting them heads like they owe him money, James sounds so powerful, Kirk and Rob are in the song and are holding it together like glue man, They’ve got to play more Load and Reload.

James truly is the outlaw torn, he such a beautiful and tortured soul. He is what really makes this Band so great, yes you couldnt have Metallica without each of its parts, But James would be the biggest loss of any of them.

I've never heard James' voice without the backing of the usual instruments. His voice alone is just incredible, soulful, and yeah, I have tears in my eyes. I'd go on, but I'm still processing these weird things called emotions.

This might be the most I've ever enjoyed listening to The Outlaw Torn. Wow. Some things get better with age.

I totally understand where Load and ReLoad might have lost long time fans. Ill just say this: Load is my introduction into MetallicA. I used to wait for Until It Sleeps to play on MTV every day after school (Im currently 34 in 2023). Load and ReLoad are increidble albums, enough so that they made me want to go back into MetallicA's history and goddamn I fell in love even more. All their albums (even St Anger that I'm beginning to soften on) are a part of them and why we love them. There is no space for hate of any kind. All their albums are why we love them.

This, Fixxxer, Bleeding Me, Hero, Sleeps, Memory and Low Man’s Lyric are some of the greatest most poetic songs ever written. Shame on pop culture and “fans” for judging Load and Reload so harshly. Reload introduced me to Metallica and metal and the memory remains video opened my eyes at 12 years old to what rock and guitar could be and it changed my life. All I wanted that Xmas and after my two best friends died/moved states away one summer I sat inside learning every song I could from Reload then Lightning and Black. Few years later I was being paid to gig and ministering to cons behind bars with guitar as the avenue in. Literally changed my life forever.
