this is absolutely freakin amazing. cant wait to see them in concert!!!!!!! Still wish that jason was in the band tho. Jasons energy and his growl gave the vocals an amazing heavynesssss. LONG LIVE METALLICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
today, was one of the worst days of my life, i thought about ending it all. i listened to this song. and i can honestly say. this song; and metallica saved my life. Thank you
Bro I hope you're still good. Feelings are fleeting and they DONT define the rest of your life. Just keep going and there's always another day. I love you. Stay strong, keep going, and never stop being a heavy metal family member. We need you.
man, Jason fit that band perfectly, attitude on and off the stage. He knew how to get a crowd pumped!! They lost a lot of their energy when they lost Jason. I mean, Rob is good, but no Jason.
Lars made the real difference in this song. So fucking attitude and feeling. Joey Jordison can play with more accuracity, But the feeling is everything. Lars always has that thing and thats one of the reason of what Metallica is and was. The other is Metrónomo James. A real beast. Sorry my english
The drums are hard on AJFA too and it might not be the fastest song in the world, but it is certainly extremely complicated. There are so many crazy key changes and time shifts in that entire album, let alone the song. Plus the constant shift from clean tones to distortion makes it hard on James to keep up with that while singing. For Trapped, you're right about the drums, but I still think that it's a ridiculous song to sing and play. I don't think they'll ever play it again with their age now
this might sound like sacrilege to the most die hard metallica fans but I'm gonna say it. Jason was the last piece of metal that metallica had. He's a great bass player, has live presence, brutal backing vox, and he bailed when he was told that he "wasn't allowed" to do anything besides metallica. Here's a tip...when a member of your band wants to do a side project, it means that they want a creative outlet that the band no longer provides. It means that they are bored with whats going on.
Jason is really missed, he really was one of the key purveyors of the energy in Metallica's performances. From providing amazing back-up vocals upto his amazing presence on stage. No offence to Rob, but Jason just fit the role great, pity the other guys treated him like dirt
This is the best performance of this song ever. Jason was the ideal bassist for this time- he really added a new dimension to their stage presence, right as they were getting huge. If not for Jason, they never make this big of an impact on live music. Although, having seen Rob play, you can't take ANYTHING away from his ability. If you think Rob doesn't stack up, you either haven't seen them play recently, or have your head buried in the deepest darkest parts of your ass
lars ulrich playing hitting the cymbals rapid bouncing bass drum what do you call that using his leg[s] there's always perfect timing on the drums he knows his drums alright not your typical drummerboy
creeeeeeeeeeping deaaaaaaaaaath - nice intro james. one of the best live shows in history and one of the great songs from 'tallica. and yea, they ruled the f-cking world in 89-92
Concerst i wish i were at, 1985 metallica concerst, 1986 metallica ozzy ( puppets tour ) concerst, 1987 gothenburg, 1988 monsters of rock, 1989 seattle, 1991 moscow, 1992 san diego, and so on! Epic performance ;o epic jason!
When it came to writing songs jason doesn't really have anything to show for (mostly because og James, Lars and Kirk "denying" him the "right" to participate) But when it comes to Metallica live, Jason was 75% of Metallica at all times. Without him Metallica doesn't have the same energy and power as they used to. Sad but true...
Like seriously, I would have killed to be there!!!!! Metallica is the best band in world, I listen to them everyday. And I've done that for the last 4 years.
@xBenjaxGuitar This is the Live Shit Binge and Purge... They performed 2 times... They kept the audio of the best track at the mixed the video with both... If that makes sense to you.
I have my period and im.on the verge of tears watching this because metallica or indeed metal.will never be this.awesome again. I was born.twenty years too late and that's so sad :(
