Thanks a lot for this backing track. Fade to Black was the first solo I ever tried to play, and the wish to be able to play the fast lick at the end has always been a big motivation for me. Now, after about 8 1/2 months of playing the guitar, i finally managed to play the solo perfectly. I have achieved my biggest goal. Thanks for guiding me when it all began :) Btw if someone knows a hard solo to practise, please comment.
Lord Stark haha man! that's my history too, if u want to try another good mettalica's solo I recommend you Ride the Lightning, in my opinion that's the next level if u want to play fast licks and solos, good luck lml :D
Lord Stark, that's awesome! I remember sitting at the toilet one day in like 8th grade listening to this solo. I really had a moment and I made myself promise to learn the whole song, which took some time. After finishing it, though not to perfection, but for my standards back then, I had this empty feeling like "okey, so what do I do now in life? Should I just continue?". Eventually moved over to other Metallica songs and some stuff here and there from bands in the heavy metal genre. After some years doing those same kinda solos I kinda felt that I could learn any solo in the genre, that nothing was too far over my head, but then I found Dream Theater and Symphony X. If you ever want some more challenge, then look into those guys! I've been practicing Sea of Lies for like 9 years now, haha. I haven't been playing consequently though, and I have quite a lot of songs that I practice at the same time. Well, I guess I'm a patient man. Anyways, good luck and have fun on your journey, man!
Life it seems will fade away Drifting further everyday Getting lost within myself Nothing matters no one else I have lost the will to live Simply nothing more to give There is nothing more for me Need the end to set me free Things not what they used to be Missing one inside of me Deadly loss this can't be real Cannot stand this hell i feel Emptiness is filling me To the point of agony Growing darkness taking dawn I was me but now, he's gone No one but me can save myself, but its too late Now i can't think, think why i should even try Yesterday seems as though it never existed Death greets me warm, now i will just say goodbye Goodbye

Hello, We are 2 amateur guitarists, fans of Metallica. We embarked on a challenge that we have every year: we select an album and each taking up the respective roles of James and Kirk, we meet once to play together the pieces learned. A year ago, we discovered the Backing Tracks posted on RU-vid by some people you are part of. A big regret, some songs do not have a song track. I tried different tutorials for software such as Audacity, Melodyne, Adobe Audition, Riff Station, etc ... Unfortunately, I can not achieve a satisfactory result. I therefore appeal to your skills to help us in the realization of our humble project. We would like to add voices on the backing tracks: Harvester of Sorrow, The Frayed Ends of Sanity and Eye of the Beholder. I thank you in advance for your response. Regards, Fred
can i do a suggestion? in minute 4:04 and in the final note in 7:01 can you please add a drummer count? for me is a little difficult to count the exact time when the note is gonna be hitted. Thank you a lot
I think it was recorded a couple of hz off 440 key. It was a very popular thing for metal bands to do to mess with their fans trying to learn the songs
Or people who enjoy being able to play the entire song with a backing band while practicing at home. Learning the riff is one thing, playing the song is another.
