That’s mostly from playing in a massive arena like this. As you said, they are an “audience”. Way too far removed from the band to feel part of it. Similar to most outdoor venues. I don’t bother with either. Clubs up to music halls, theaters, amphitheaters, auditoriums, etc are the best. Places that are build for acoustics. Edit: If you have to look at mounted screens in order to see the band, it’s too big. The massive screens do help though. I last saw Metallica in Detroit at Comerica park in 2017 and they had a massive screen which helped. Saw them in 2003 at Palace of Auburn Hills and it was much better. Still a stadium, but much smaller than this.

me too man, we flew from atlanta for that show. our seats were in the 300s but on night 1 me and my buddies snuck onto the floor and made our way to being 10 ft from the stage 😂

@@evantewks689 Night #1 had a better setlist in my opinion. I bought floor tickets for both shows and was literally steps away from the band. It was insane.

@@ezeldf2339 me too, i feel like night 1 had more songs that i’ve never seen before like leper messiah, king nothing, orion, the day that never comes, etc. i think night 2 was still awesome though, i loved seeing dirty window, it was also cool to see 72 seasons and whiskey in the jar.

It would sure sound better than that movie theater livestream they did. The sound was disappointing, and it didn't sync up with what they were doing. James's vocals looked like an old karate movie
