I was working here as security both days they were in Amsterdam. Metal fans are like the friendliest dudes on earth. Honor working under the same roof as these legends
@@Troy1399 Was ingehuurd door TSC. Is best leuk heeft te maken waar je staat. Moest 2x in de snakepit staan, moet daar weer voor Bruce Springsteen. Maar is oprecht leuk man
werken bij metal-gigs is het "makkelijkste" wat er is. Als Metalfan én als (voormalig) beveiliger, heb ik echt NOOIT gekke dingen meegemaakt bij metal/Rock shows.... (hiphop/dance/trance/R&B daarentegen... das flink aanpoten!)
If you've never been to a Metallica show, when you do go, I find it when you listen to "Ecstasy of Gold", you know when that song ends, you're about to experience one of the coolest things you will ever experience in your life.
Only ever seen them once at Donnington Monsters of Rock Festival UK 1991. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LB4yzl2-fbY.html Would love to see them live again.
The anticipation, buildup and release of tension when a live gig starts is one of the highlights of a good show for me. Hearing the band kick into "Orion", and one of the most iconic metal riffs in history, must've been a spiritual experience. "And the band begins to play”
Yesss Im 52 ....the first time ( 14 ) my father was ..angry..( Elvis- Fan) Haha I freak out Haha 🤣 Im happy to see ,that METALL Is on EARTH ... WISHES FROM AUSTRIA 🇦🇹 SORRY MEGADETH, ANTHRAX...E.C. EC. YES
The guys are so down to earth! James stands only a few centimeters away from the fans and in the inner circle the people stand directly at the stage without barriers! Pop stars drive on and off in dark limousines, metal stars live with their fans! That's the difference and that's what makes Metal so unique! 😃🤘
@@killTHEIRidols Yes, it's sad that the days of 'normal' prices are gone. I'm grateful that I've been to concerts for what would be $40 now (Toto, Sting, Genesis, U2, and many many more)
Totally. 👍And as well as that, the audience is also in absolute awe at Orion itself being the opener. They get to fully sit , stand back and give themselves the time to take it all in, whilst marvel at the magic slowly unfold.
Metallica is one of the greatest live bands ever. I don’t think anyone else has remained so true to their vision and as hardworking as these guys are on the road.
Love this part of every Metallica show…. Prepare yourself because it’s gonna be a wild ride for the next 2 hours!! Hard feeling to describe, can’t wait for my 13 year old to experience it 🤘🤘
What an absolute legend…..cool as could be, puffing on a cigar like he’s there to watch the show then up the stairs, a count of two to Lars and he’s in! 😎
@@magna116 yet I could give a 💩. Metal is not my thing. I have better taste, such as Bieber, Kanye, Rihanna, Taylor Swift. Metallica is way down in the gutter with another talented, favorite band of yours, KISS! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What a great video for the Hetfield family......."Here is your great grandfather being a badass!". I was very lucky to see Metallica in 2007 when the new Wembly stadium was opened.
And the respect he gives his tech speaks volumes. I’m sure there was once a day when he wouldn’t acknowledge the importance of their job. Speaks volumes as to how far he’s come.
Man, just imagine being in your seats, and James Hetfield is right in front of you, smoking a cigar. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK!? It would be so cool. I’d fuckin’ loose it if he was that close to me!
And as most of you prob know - James has dealt with some demons over the years. Fame & fortune is not all glitter & rainbows. But dammit…he’s done the work & he’s as badass as ever before. So proud of him & the band for never giving up. 🤘
I was fortunate to see them in ATL many years ago. I’ve been to a lot of concerts and theirs still ranks still one of the best on the list. If you’re a fan…GO SEE THEM. It’s powerful. 🖤
Saw them in Paris for their M72 world tour, I'm so glad i did, last Paris date was two days ago, and I'm still high from the adrenaline, best concert ever absolutely worth every penny. I find myself looking at the photos and videos I took just to remind myself that i actually was there. It's unbelievable. It's something that's gonna mark me for the rest of my life These people continue to bless us with their craft, and I'm beyond thankful for it.
Well this is awkward. My first time listening to 72 on an actual car stereo is giving me far different results. I'm actually liking this album far more than I have been watching the videos on RU-vid. My car stereo gives it that punch that RU-vid was lacking.. I hereby retract my previous judgments. So far I really like this album was listening to it in this way
Sometimes I feel like everybody is staring at me, it's only a feel but even though I get nervous. Imagine that it's not only a feel and it's thousand of people staring at you at the same time. I guess cigar could help to relax in that unusual situation.
Since Load Metallica has had some of the greatest stages for the fans. Been to every tour, starting w/ Monsters of Rock in Foxboro Ma in like 87, 2nd on the bill w Van Halen, Justice, Black album, Load, ReLoad, Lollapalooza, St Anger, and Hardwired, missed Death Magnetic and all the stages since Load have had incredible layouts for a huge majority of the fans. Justice was by far the Fastest, Worcester Centrum worcester Ma 89 or early 90, been a while, but the best show for sound and how tight they all were was Boston Calling a year or so ago, insane, went w/ my 18 and 20 yo sons. GO SEE THEM NOW!! Before its too late. Im not a fan of The Grateful Dead, but I went to see them in 92/93 in New Jersey, trippin on Acid, I finally Understood what they were all about. Jerry died the next year. Glad I went!
woah, james smoking.?? fuk i never thought that id see that.....hes def. matured alot, he'll be 60 in August and he still looks good i fukin knew it was orion, 01:48 that bass effect cliff used on the intro track in 86 was a hell of a distortion cliffs notes could of lasted forever so to hear it now with the band coming in....awesome, would of loved to see the whole show....when did james start smoking?? for james to go on and being sober takes alot of guts, he was so used to being fuked up on booze, so i bet getting on that stage then or now is still hard and nerve wracking, he clearly is amazing....hes an inspiration to many.....he proved that u can beat anything and still live and love ur life damn lucky to be standing next to him before he went on lars is quite far away from where James comes out.... james is using his 'gibson' flying V which was his prominent guitar back from 82-86....he admitted in an interview that it wasnt a genuine gibson flying V..i think it was in Guitar World from June 2003 him and kirk on the cover...he didnt know it wasn't legit until years later...he used it to record kill 'em all
