I’ve watched this video probably 75 times and I’m continually impressed not only by the fact that you play it correctly with down strokes but that you’re able to keep correct rhythm the entire time. I honestly think that’s one of the things that gets overlooked when a cover of such a tough song is done. Well done mate!
Practice, I’ve trying to downpick for a while and I couldn’t do it fast or long enough, now I can almost play this song with months of downpicking Routine. Now I just need to be more consistent. mind you I play on a tele, so it’s not really the guitar you use either it’s pure practice. Hope this helped
First thing I thought about. I don’t know why some other guy has millions of views, and yet, I can’t even tell if he’s playing all the notes. Not to knock his playing at all, but when your volume is on equal or lower than the original-who would even spot any mistakes? This guy is amazing tho! Congrats, kudos, and it’s good to see someone playing the whole song! Even if I knew every riff, I’d have to practice like crazy to nail the whole thing like that!
I just started, it’s humbling, I can play “happy birthday to you.” Master of Puppets im thinking may be many years or be unattainable for me at 40 but nothing is impossible right??
the main riff at 0:54 is pretty good. but i think in the recording after the first slide from 3 to 5, he slides from 6 to 5 but holds it there for a split second and then does the final slide from 3 to 5.
Wow. Your downpicking is incredible. How long did it take you to get to that point? Did you practice with a metronome basically every day, increasing the speed as you learned to relax your arm?
