The first 4 notes changed the face of metal as we know it!!!!...im sorry let me rephrase that!!!...THE FIRST FN 4 NOTES CHANGED THE FN FACE OF HEAVY METAL AS WE FN KNOW IT!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I love how the music follows the drug addict...heavy at the beginning, needing it, and then that beautiful interlude where the guitars take you on your high (getting it) and then heavy again because the ride is over and you need it again...ritual misery...what a masterpiece.
The light, melodic music in the middle is like the high of the drug being expressed through music. It speeds up as you come down from the high and the need for another fix. Absolute brilliant song writing.
Great reaction as usual. This is a masterpiece. You should listen to Disposable Heroes. Its also on this album. This album was put in the Congressional Library for its historical cultural significance. They are musical geniuses. Keep up the great reactions. Your genuine love for music shines through. Stay safe brother.
My introduction to Metallica was the black album, which was released when I was in highschool. I didn't hear this song until the early 2000s when I was in my 20s. It blew me away!
@@JayveeTV If you decide to do more Metallica, "One" (with video) and "Fade to Black" are fantastic songs. Edit: "One" video takes excerpts from a short film called "Johnny got his gun." It's a very dark story, but with a whole lot of meaning and feeling behind it. It fits the song perfectly.
I awesome to see someone else who loves this kind of music. I'm 15 and love this kind of music and it's very unlikely to see someone else towards the younger side (not sure how old you are 😁) like this type of music.
The first 4 notes of this song changed the face of metal as we know it!!!...Let me rephrase that!.THE FIRST 4 FN NOTES OF THIS FN SONG CHANGED THE FACE OF HEAVY METAL AS WE FN KNOW IT!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Metallica is a fantastic band. One song of theirs that is often overlooked because it's on an album even Metallica themselves didn't like is "Hero of the Day". I think you'd also like "the Memory Remains". It's got a Sunset Boulevard-style narrative that's really cool.
I've seen Metallica live twice and got married to one of their songs (I'm sure fans can guess which one). All Nightmare Long is my fave but I love all of The Misfits covers and Loverman. Excellent band.
First 4 albums are all a pure emotional and spiritual journey front to back! Used to go to sleep to this album every night with headphones on at 13! Way to respect the musicianship and lyrics Masterpiece! There's a reason Metallica is best thrash /progressive metal bands "EVER"!!Masterpiece
Awesome! you really get the message of the lyrics, fantastic! Not many make that correlation, suscribed man and keep enjoying music! Saludos desde Mexico!
I used to watch jamel. I found you through his channel somehow and I never went back. You actually use wisdom in your comments and have a natural Nack for music
You ever thought about doing some Britpop songs? Britpop was a genre from the mid 90s in the UK, when guitar bands started dominating the British charts again...how about taking a listen to some of these: Pulp - Common People Blur - Girls & Boys or Tender Oasis - Cigarettes & Alcohol or Wonderwall Supergrass - Alright Kula Shaker - Tattva or Hey Dude
@@JayveeTV oh cool. I must have missed that one, but should definitely do Common People by Pulp...it’s the absolute pinnacle of the Britpop era and possibly the best British single of the entire 90s
Bro finally something great from them. They rarely suggested for good songs by them. Finnaly very good song by Metallica. If you want good Metallica songs with great lyrics then react to "...and justice for all" or "Disposable Heroes" or "Orion"
If you love great guitar playing then try the 80s & 90s Canadian Blues Rocker from Toronto Ontario Canada call (Jeff Healey) he's a blind guitar player who plays amazing guitar, he played the guitar flat on his lap not holding it like a regular guitar player does. Sadly he passed away in 2008, his group was called (The Jeff Healey Band). Some of my favourite songs of his are - Adriana (a single from 1986 not found on any of his albums there is an actual video for this song) - See The Light - Confidence Man - Angel Eyes - I think I love you too much - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Beatles Cover) - how long can a man be strong - lost in your eyes - I got a line on you - Stuck In The Middle With You - I tried - Roadhouse Blues (Doors cover) (from the film Roadhouse starring Patrick Swayz, the Jeff Healey band appeared in the movie) All these songs have actual videos. If you really want to see Jeff Healey in his best look for live performances of him Also Jeff Healey was a great trumpet player he formed a jazz band called (Jeff Healey and The Jazz Wizards) try some of their music too.
I enjoyed your reaction, you got a new sub from me. I've been binging reactions to this song and I'm shocked by how many people aren't able to figure out the meaning of this song. IMO if you haven't figured it out by the end of the first half of the song then you have no business reacting to music. So many people have jumped on this band wagon of reaction oriented channels without understanding why we the viewers enjoy them. You can't just react to a video and not at the very least try and break it down and get to a deeper meaning. It's clear to me many reactors simple react for the views and nothing else, trash content no thanks.
The first Metallica album I got into. So much great stuff. Here's another song about drugs. The band is called Protein, and the song is Passing By. The drums absolutely make this song. The band has three albums and a lot of great and smart music and lyrics. The singer is Josh Zee and is now in a band called Mother Truckers, also good music and smart lyrics. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CnQ6Nki8JBE.html
Please react to; W.A.S.P. - Wild Child The Last Command Cries in the Night Blind in Texas Jack Action Widowmaker Megadeth; Tornado of Souls My Last Words (you definitely need to pull up the words for this one) Ronnie James DIO; Holy Diver Hungry for Heaven Sacred Heart Rainbow in the Dark Children of the Sea Metal Church; Watch the Children Pray Method to your Madness Over My Dead Body Gods of Wrath Burial at Sea Iron Maiden; -Wasted Years -Stranger in a Strange Land -Run to the Hills Judas Priest - Heading out to the Highway - Some Heads are Gonna Roll - Turbo Lover Krokus; Screaming in the Night *Be sure to pull up the lyrics with each one. Metal is a form of lyrical art that is best appreciated when you analyze and understand the meaning of each song. IMO it’s best to start with studio versions, as some live versions are messed with by the bands and if you aren’t familiar with the song or it’s meaning, it can loose some of its ability to convey its true meaning/definition of the song when it’s done more casually in a live setting. Just a thought.. Best of luck in your metal journey!
Metallica say: You’re worse than me ... I’m worse than you. You’re better than me ... I’m better than you. Endless loop? The creator will judge. Not us ...
Excellent choice. Enter Sandman is another good one. If you want to try another metal band, Iron Maiden's song Hallowed Be Thy Name is a good place to start. If you want pure aggression and speed try Slayer. Antichrist is short bit what a ride. Make sure you find a vid with lyrics.
