@@unromanoarecareanaveragero8275 you're right but I'd still like to hear a minimalist version. I get that the orchestra is a big part of the song and written with that in mind but when I hear James during the first chorus I cant help but think of Gordon Lightfoot or Jim Croce. That's why I'd like to hear just the band work out a 4 PC version.
I feel that this, Minus Human, and I Disappear were all part of the same unreleased album that was too epic for its own good and only had three hits. Im glad they didn't force an album. The three songs had their place!
You may be right 1998 Load 1999 Garage Inc 2000-2003 was a period of Metallicas 3 new songs Too bad that Jason was treated like crap...they were at a crossroad..Jason should have gotten his just due....
@@israelrico5076 Load was 1996, and Garage Inc. was 1998. Also, Garage Inc. was entirely a cover album. S&M, which No Leaf Clover and Minus Human are from is from 1999. I Disappear was from 2000.
@@FerGL Either that or he isolated the vocals, guitars and, drums and bass since in some moments you hear the instrumental part which most isolaters bug out like that which happends to me cuz i tried with my isolator program and got the same result as the video just i cropped out the instrumentals that slipped in and added some backing guitar for a defined sound to it and ive shared it around to some friends and they liked it to create the true studio version but still props to the guy who made this :)
And as I listen all the comments that said you nailed this are spot on. I mean you were able to cut out the cheers from the audience and like 99.9999% of the orchestra. Well done
Holy crap! I've listened to this song hundreds of times since it was made and only now have I realized that he does that little vocal disconnect bit at the "sOOthing light" part. Thanks for this.
Excellent work! It would be nice if it was stereo but you can only do so much with these stems Metallica just needs to release an actual studio version already. Even if it has the orchestra, it would be awesome if there was no audience screaming
McTwish von Noodles it would be hard to cut out the audience from the background, especially since no leaf clover was recorded live. But I do agree with you.
Sad story of one bassist in the world when even in fan-edited tracks of his band there is no any f8888g sound of bass guitar. As well as in studio albums))
I don’t know if they make it for this song, but there is a place you can get songs split into separate audio tracks for sound engineers to practice. Those tend to end up in stereo, so this dude might have actually split the tracks himself.
Nope. The only thing we have is what is on the first S&M album. While overdubbed with studio recordings for instruments and stuff, the song and album were marketed as live recordings, so there isn’t an official studio release as of now without the orchestra
@@6oLsh0i6o0z3It was performed live on the night, but various instruments and vocal effects were added/retaken in studio for the film/album, like the reverb/squeezing on James' voice in the first chorus of No Leaf Clover
I found this song on SoundCloud without the symphony. It was uploaded by some guy named Iman Ghorani with a slightly different intro (no lead), but the bass by Jason sounded so much more pronounced.
Yeah, but that version doesn’t have the guitar lead in the intro like this video does. In fact, this seems to be the only video with that guitar lead in it.
@@NoxWyatt Metallica released this 😐, a fan didn’t do this. this track was released by Metallica king before RU-vid existed. I understand there is no “studio recording” hence the inverted commas, but Metallica still released this… it’s not a “fan edit”
@@DuarkiThere is a band-only mix of the entire S&M concert on the official DVD release, but this is definitely not that. As far as I'm aware, that is the only official version of this song without the orchestra. This is definitely a fan mix created using the music tracks from Guitar Hero Metallica, just without the background track.
@@Duarki I think the purpose of this was also to try to eliminate the crowd (studio recordings, which this is trying to emulate, typically don't contain crowd noise 😉) which is present in the band-only mix. There are fan mixes of a lot of album tracks that have obviously also been officially released. The point isn't to provide music that isn't otherwise available, but rather an alternate version. To dismiss these by simply saying there is an official version is ignoring the entire point.
