I was there in Nimes in 2009. It was a night to never forget. Driving with 2 friends from Amsterdam to the south of France to see Metallica, little did we expect to see such an epic concert. On par with Pink Floyd Pulse concert in 1994.
I Rarely EVER Say this, but You MUST See The Video( It Is GREAT(& Also Metallica Claimed They Wouldn't Make A Video ( so We ALL Expected it to SUCK(Great Surprise!!!!!!)))
US rock band Metallica have achieved a new Guinness World Records title after becoming the first musical act to play a concert on all seven of Earth's continents. The band set the record after they entertained 120 scientists and competition winners in a transparent dome at Carlini Station in Antarctica on Sunday. Metallica actually performed on all seven continents in a calendar year, following tour dates in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia in 2013.
So happy to see you react to this classic. Definitely up there as one of my favourite Metallica songs. You should definitely check out the video. Was great to see how much you got into this one. This was awesome. Thank You Rebeka.

I think the one show I went to which impressed me the most, out of more than 100 bands I've seen Live, was seeing Metallica in March 1983 in San Francisco at The Stone. Dave Mustaine was still in the band and Cliff had just joined them. They were just something totally different and really really good. I remember the day I bought their first album. I saw it, and grabbed it, on the same day I bought the album Landshark by FANG.
Congrats on the 35K subscribers Rebeka!! I have to agree with the others who commented about watching the video. As much as you appreciated the live version, the video will add a whole new context to the song for you. Excellent analysis as always. Glad you are feeling better. Take care.
After seeing multiple reactions, I’ve come to realize that “One” is the perfect 1st song for someone who has never heard Metallica. The more subdued sound for the verses is palatable that can draw in fans who’ve heard of the band, who are wondering if this is the same band. With the chorus, you have a great illustration of that hard sound they have that doesn’t sound like it’s forced. When you get to the end, you get an example of the speed they have. It gives the listener an idea of their strengths as a band and can make it easier to take in other songs by them. It’s like when I listen to Jinjer’s “Pisces” but really started becoming a fan of their’s after “Bad Water.”
Awesome Song..especially live..saw them twice live..this Song is one of the Best to hear IT live..again..especially when u are in front of the stage..couple of feet from the flames..the Nimes version is awesome..colosseum sound style..u should check the Through the Never One video or 99 version..both legendary..BTW..the boys are going for 41 years of existence on Friday..fk yeah🤟🤘
I would recommend the song Inamorata by Metallica. Just released this year on the album 72 Seasons. As a Metallica fan of over 30 years, i can say that it is in my top 5 favorites.
Excellent, now watch the video with a tissue. You will also feel the scream from the guitar solo much deeper. What is going to be your first TOOL reaction?
You have to watch the video with the video of the movie tommy got his gun together not live to truly appreciate and understand exactly what this song is
GREAT REACTION!! TAKE A LOOK THE LYRICS AND THE OFFICIAL VIDEO. IT WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLE PERSPECTIVE YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF THE SONG. KEEP ROCKING WITH METALLICA!!! 🤘🏼🎶
Excellent reaction just found you a few days ago had to SUB you need to check out skid row live and also a group with no instruments Home Free song Man of Constant Sorrow it will blow your mind.
check out... Metallica: Am I Evil... The Big Four: Live from Sofia, Bulgaria is a live video with performances by Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax.
Rebeka, I've been enjoying your reactions. However, I believe reactors should hear a song for the first time the same way we had to, as the album or official video version, before moving to a Live version. Live adds nuances that were not in the original. Keep up the good work
It's kind of odd for me comparing 2 bands that are massively popular - Metallica... and AC/DC... Both bands take years to put out new records... both sell out arenas and stadiums on tour... Both have albums w/ black covers that have sold exceptionally well over decades. But the big difference is that AC/DC only spend the album cycle on tour... a year to a year and half every time an album comes out, and then they disappear for a while before a new album finally emerged. Their last record 'Power up' (2020) still has no tour dates. Metallica takes forever to put out new albums ('St. Anger' in 2003... 'Death magnetic' in 2008... 'Hardwired' in 2016) but they keep announcing tour dates and concerts years after the record cycle has ended... No new album, but still doing shows in 2022.
Hello Rebecca. I am glad that you are now healthy, I have a question for you. Do you have any Polish family roots. Your Budlevska surname sounds very Polish. Plus, you look beautiful as always. Greetings from Poland .
