@@leayhgbbrvxzwaxhyunrxeaXgy Whatever. A more technical drummer seriously wouldn't make the songs any better at all. he's a good fit. Same with Phil Rudd's simple drumming in ac/dc
Yeah no shit. The camera man from the crowd is literally standing right below Lars😂 drums are much louder than you think. Sincerely an ex drummer with tinnitus.
Im very proud of 'my' band, they have come a long way and ive watched it all since 85. They have the big stadium tour going on... take a nice long break... now continued back at it for the summer. What a great band with all successes well deserved. Some excellent shots here, great stage set up idea and positioning.... excellent footage, thanks.
Travelling with some friends in two weeks from Belgium to Copenhagen for their concert.. Really hope they play Orion.. It does something to me that no other song can 🙌❤️❤️
Lars is trying his best and I respect it. It’s actually fun watching them up close with this footage. Thank you for sharing this 😁 I’m a drummer and the more I watch up close performances of drummers, the better idea of fun things I can do when I am performing.
Dresden, I could play live on stage in a swimsuit, Dresden, thank you for the best rainy/stormy weather to play a 2-hour set, thanks to you for this, Es war ein episches zweistündiges Konzert!!!!!!!!!!!! and I will see you soon during the 2nd, 3rd, 4th day of the CONCERT!!!!!
Hey man how did you knew where the dum sets will be placed on stage? And how did you moved from on drum set to another??? I will be going to a m72 in warsaw, poland and i want be close to the drumsss! I would be happy if you could give me some tips!!! Ps that will be my first metallica concert in my life
Oh, wie geile Aufnahmen. Mein Neid ist Dir gewiß ;) Von meinem Platz habe ich die Typen nur als Legomanschgerl wahrgenommen, freu mich trotzdem tierisch auf morgen!
These days its not really a problem to put yourself up front. More saftey and less people. You just bully yourself through a little bit and you get their
He is still playing dyno beats. Zildjian relabeled them from Z to A custom a couple years ago. But they are still the same as they have always been. I have them both, as Z and A and they are exactly the same.
@@theplayersclub1126 those „trash can lids“ are essential part of the Metallica live tone for 40 years which is without a doubt one of the best sounding in rock music.
Truth!! You can tell he is terrible by looking at his elementary kit!! Nonetheless, dude has made it on the coattails of his many other bandmates over time!!
Talks about me being chubby I'm still losing mine chubby about Samuels drummer baphelomets throne song is mine and I will sit there and on high and you better bring him to me then cause the bets on that I couldn't revive him and I'm betting you something you used to keep in a vehicle and your breath that I can with my Gods Help
great vid and perspective, thanks for posting. The show looks great. I can't help but think Lars is losing a step or two though. No fault; he's 60+ playing some extreme music over a 2 hour show.
if you mean that thing with the blue sticker on it, it's a buttkicker. It's a low frequency structure-borne sound generator that basically shakes when you hit the kick drum.
@@hazardeur ignorance doesn't make you live longer. Compared with nonsmokers, regular cigar smokers are 4 to 10 times more likely to die from oral cancer, esophageal cancer, and laryngeal cancer. Cigar smokers may spend an hour or more smoking 1 large cigar that can contain the same amount of nicotine as a full pack of cigarettes.
@@whiplash1903 misinterpeting things can also be dangerous to your health ;) what you said has nothing to do with what happened to EVH. everybody dies from something. and the "compared to non smokers"....really? no shit sherlock. at the end of the day, i'd assume "death fromcancer related to cigar smoking" is a lot less common than the problems you get from the cigarette
this looks like it was pretty early in the set, with the "legendary" Master of Puppets performance coming up later on, after the rain starts... ...or in MY headcanon, the band was summoning Cliff with the behemoth instrumental, and by the time Master started, Cliff answered that summons...with a BOLT OF FUCKING LIGHTNING! lol
I wouldn't spend a dime on a gig like that, just marketing and that's it, get this shit of a band out of the Thrash metal book, Metallica ended up from the black album onwards
Pity the setlist isn't getting a few deep cuts like on the world magnetic tour. This tour is getting a bit too clinical and safe for the band as far as I'm concerned.
I was in Hamurg last year, they played Ride the lightning, Harvester, Lepper Messiah, until it sleeps, King nothing and through the never. Not your usual songs on a playlist. And Orion and Call of Chutlu are songs they don't bring that regularly too
Yeah what are you talking about you deff get deep cuts with 2 days Detroit got harvest, lepp, fight fire with fire , dirty window , call of kthulu, through the never ,fade to black, welcome home ,ride the lightning , whiplash out of all those songs I've only seen one of them live before
@@vdawg2224 Are you a drummer? Did you start playing professionally at 14 and make a career as a session musician since? I think I'm qualified to make that judgment at age 40 with that experience. Lars is lazy and can't keep time with that bass drum. Frankly, his best work was when he was rolling in coke. The only reason he's with Metallica is because it's his band. The list of better options is nearly endless.
@@BigMamaJamma83 Bahahaha! Thanks for the good laugh. Next you're gonna tell me Ringo is sloppy and Phil Rudd sucks and should be replaced by D. Carrey. Having played music doesn't make you any more or less qualified. And if you wanna go that route guys like Lombardo and Portnoy defend Lars from guys like you. Again, this is art not a matter of fact. But you don't even seem to know that Lars is not just a drummer but an arranger. Nobody, especially him, has said he's the best in the world at any point. In fact, any member of that band has said they are average at best. But here you are coming and shitting on their song and members... as they are selling out soccer stadiums in Europe during a 40 year career as the most successful heavy rock act of all time. But hey, you started playing when you're 14.
