Jerry Cantrell is an American music legend...his song writing alone is brilliant...added to his musicianship...AIC are Hall of Famers in my book...Everyone from Phil Anselmo too Metallica...even Elton John has performed with AIC/Cantrell (LP)...

i find it hilarious how it's usually the megadeth fanboys outnumbering all the metallica fanboys, but on this video it's alice in chains fanboys outnumbering all the megadeth fanboys. fuckin sweet as.

I love how James downpicks the intro RIff while Jerry alternate picks it, it kinds shows the habits of a metal and a Grunge player, i love them both though ! i wish Layne was there...

some of you might recall that Robert Trujillo played on Jerry's Degradation Trip solo disc about 10 years ago, so those 2 would have known each other pretty well. Also saw Cantrell open for Metallica way back in 1998... what else can you say, its cool to see them all on stage together even if it is one of the easiest songs to play.

Isn't Jerry the most coolest guy ever? He jams with bands like Pearl Jam and also, Metallica! Such a complete guitarrist!

They're old friends. I was at a Metallica and Alice in Chains concert once, except AiC never came, trouble with Layne I guess. That was Stockholm back in... 92 or 93, had to travel for hours and hours. Went mostly for AiC so that sucked.

Listen Lars haters nobody, not Lars or Lars fans have ever labeled him the best technically, however there aren't to many with his passion, who beats his drums with that much hate! Love! Anger! And passion!! Especially in his early days! Have you seen Harvester of sorrow in Moscow, I believe it was 1991?! Just beats those things clenching his teeth! Love it! I'd rather have someone like that than someone who is technically better but whose expression hardly changes or you can't see the Anger and passion...!!

Jerry , of course, since he is not a Metallica member doesn't perform this song often so he was really focusing the whole time looking at the strings to play it perfectly. I thought that was really cool

Lars ulrich plays badly on purpose. I'm a fan since 98 and I can say that I noticed perfectly when it came st anger, that change of attitude and I know why it was. He and all of us who were in metal at that time if we paid a little attention we could notice a stupid obsession of the drummers to play perfectly well and forgot that the first thing that makes you a heavy metal drummer is to be able to hit the jars to get the anger out. That's why I tell you that Lars has played badly since then and since then he's not worried at all about metallica's sound mix of drums.

Alice In Chains were set to open up for Metallica during their 1994 Summer Shit tour. ... So, James Hetfield thought it would be cool to make fun of Layne while the band played “Man In The Box” during the tour. I will forever think they suck

I love Metallica and Alice In Chains, but I think this was a waste. Such a simple overplayed song. IMO, they should have played a song where James and Jerry could have both sang. Like Memory Remains or One. That would have been badass.
