About Metalocalypse: Dethklok
Metalocalypse is Adult Swim's blackest, most brutal comedy. Coming straight to your face from Brendon Small (Home Movies) and Tommy Blacha, it centers around the band Dethklok, a global metal sensation with enormous economic power and social influence. Dethklok includes Nathan Explosion on vocals, Skwisgaar Skwigelf on lead guitar, Toki Wartooth on rhythm guitar, William Murderface on bass, and Pickles the Drummer as...himself. Unfortunately, these guys are more interested in boozing, doing drugs, and causing mass destruction than in putting out new albums. Did anyone else get chills hearing this album the first time? This song starts off as the typical melodic death metal, but Nathan's voice audibly changes to a higher rasp and the guitar and drums seem to transform into something more akin to the BLACK metal scene. You really get a sense that something bigger than the band themselves is possessing their music.

I wish the show could be brought back. Dethklock is one of the best metal bands out there regardless of whether or not they are animated. Brendan Small is a genius and I wish Adult Swim or any network would put their show back on the air.

@@zigzagzarf theres another movie coming, they have 3 albums and the klok opera album. if youre interested Brendan has his own band that has 2 albums and they are the 5th and 6th albums of dethklok, he plays and sings as nathan essentially in it. its pretty much dethklok since as owns the name. look up Galaktikon albums 1 and 2 GEARS SUPPORT YOUR MASTERS!

One of the best songs from this show as well as the best Dethklok music video! Makes me want to sword fight my worst enemy off the nearest roof! I will say though, best experience is watching this on the Season 3 Blu Ray and then watching the extras that show the recruitment centers and how the music video is HILARIOUSLY false advertising. What I especially love about Dethklok is that even though it’s comedy music, the joke is not always obvious at least not in the music.

After that it is a grueling week of the harshest deadliest challenges. From a large pool cut in half than the rest are like 10-20 people who actually make it to the end. Makes me wonder how much or what the other "elite" gears have done or are capable of to earn their title. Their best finder was basically a wolf/bloodhound hybrid in human form. Raised like an animal and basically kept feral or just civilized enough to take orders. He was able to track down Toki and Abigail in the doomstar requiem movie before being killed though lol. Still he fulfilled his mission. Also to be Charles's assistant. Whom he claims previous ones were all killed very violently. So he either hires some of the best organized gears or cannon fodder since they die so much lol. They must either get paid very well or get paid minimum but do it for have the opportunity to serve the biggest death metal band and 13th largest economy in the world. The coming of the last movie after the doomstar requiem rock opera is being currently made. It would be awesome and Insane if they have the literal endless infinte army of gears go to battle against a literal god and his subordinates. While having the band go around to finally meet face to face in what i assume is a final battle of sorts.
