Edit to the pinned comment. Many people have asked where I got the numbers for skill damage. It was documented on this spreadsheet made by the community's resident datamining expert CTOBN docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FDC6T6tr__-AU18tY--4-ZUSzkeaMM_Kg_Crqu6VrcM/edit?gid=0#gid=0
This is the irs video of yours I’ve seen in a while and I definitely enjoyed a look in surprisingly versatile class. I’ve also finished Virgo island but I’ve been struggling with who to hang out in the dragon festival, since there’s a unique weapon and I’m not sure what to get 😂😂😂
Where did you get the base power info? You mentioned that Frigid Fortress Tactic has 200 base power - if there has been a data mine of all skills exact powers, that's the kind of info I'd like to have available for reference on my second playthrough.
Funny that I built her the other way, I made her my ultimate debuffer Since you don't need to "study" the archetype to unlock the mask and just need to have it ready to learn once she can learn Faker's ultimate archetype (Trickster) you'll get Vidyartha and Debilitate So on her 1st turn I'd go Vidyartha to drop the enemy (usually boss) atk & def by 2 stage, next time she got her turn I'll use Debilitate as an upkeep to keep the debuff extended while lowering their hit & evade And in the middle while the debuff aren't flashing (sign it's gonna expired) she also act as my healer with Medi
Yeah I did the same thing I was magic heavy first play through. what sucked about her is she has the highest magic stat in the game but her skills are like an offensive support. She is still good because a lot of bosses in the later stages don't have vulnerabilities or block everything. So spells like her hellfire dance or the like become clutch.
@@mudpig1231 ok to be fair. Merchant Gaming is OP. But yes I’m going to try to stay away from covering the Merchant line because at this point, everyone knows the class is broken
while this isnt junah exclusive i would like to leave here a general tip for anyone using any non merchant. and that is mp regeneration masked reverie si already a good tool but you can make what i like to call a restore class that class purpose isnt to fight, but to just restore mp, oddly enough merchant offers itself well for this as it is also the one that burns alot thanks to debt collection. but whatever class you designate it needs inheitence slots -shield blessing -masked reverie -guard lore (easiest lore skill to get and here so your gear doesnt matter) -revitalize 3 (if you have it) the more of this you have the more mp you can restore per action, the combo above gives you 24 so you swap to the restore class, find an enemy, and pass till the buffs run out, then you leave or kill em. and boom you get more mp to do whatever you want. i was stuck on merchant for the resources until shield blessing, which then fuled my entire remaining playthrough together with the others.
my junah is masquerade charge support, once her masked dancer is maxed out, she can use Persona Master, this Archetype has the synthesis skill masquerade charge which allows you to group charge your team, i equipped her with utilitarian medal, so her group charge is only 1 action, then i gave her Vidyartha & Rogue's Fakery. so she deuffs and charges everyone else, best used with Melee specialists build.
Junah has really helped with some of the late game bosses and optional dungeons. I maxed out Faker and did some levels in healer to give her some inheritance skills. I have used her as a healer/debuffer/weakness giver tech and she has become a pivotal member of the squad for big boss fights.
There are 3 fans that boost fire damage: The first one you can get is the Dancing Flame Fan, which is in a treasure chest in Land of Ceremony (Eupha's side dungeon). The next one is Rakshasi's Fan from Manor Of The Ascendant, which you go to for the Cockatrice in the Clouds bounty. Then the most powerful one is the Fire Goddess's Fan, which you get by purifying the Rakshasi's Fan at a church.
Metaphor's pacing when it comes to additional party members is pretty bizarre, with some interesting design choices that help mitigate the issues of a later jointime paired with some pretty confounding ones. You go through the first 15-20 hours of the game with only three party members in a four-party-member system, and then it's another 10-15 hours before the fifth joins...but for some reason, new party members join without any initial progress into their Archetype tree at all, with the exception of their starting Archetype. But worry not, Junah arrives with the most versatile Archetype in the game, so she's almost perfectly fine without additional Archetype EXP! And then you get a sixth party member in the Summoner Archetype, which, while still very unique, isn't quite as good as Masked Dancer, so it would be nice to have some other Archetypes unlocked by default. But then you get the final party member, and they have...Berserker? That's it? We're 2/3rds of the way through the game, and now we have a new character essentially starting from scratch? What are we even doing here? At least the Hero's Incense items exist to funnel Archetype EXP to other characters, but why should players have to save up a ton of boosting items in advance just to bring late-joining party members up to par? And while Junah is the least affected by these issues, any of the other characters can still pick up Masked Dancer without much investment, so she really only has her strong Magic stat as a major advantage.
@@Bucketgetter just started Eupha’s follower events so I’ll see how it goes there. But another thing on A-EXP is that Masked Dancer took the shortest of any Archetype to max out. So now I’m basically bathing in Hero Leaves 🍃
The Berserker guy is absolutely insane once built for the lategame, though. It's definitely weird pacing and potentially a bit of struggle in the midgame, but the endgame payoff is absolutely insane. Hero Leaf items for AExp are ideally spent on the protagonist IMO, since there is an achievement to have him max all Archetypes (in addition to the big stat boosts he gets for it).
yeah it would be nice if party members junah onward would come with some leafs of light or jeweled root to metigate the archtype issue. cause it is an issue.
Faker's Rougery. Chance of making all turn icons blinking or adding 2-4 blinking turn icons. Heavy MP cost but you pretty much get a random chance Beast Eye. If Junah can't cover a weakness with her spells, it's better in most situations than passing turn.
If you farmed a lot of magla pills from the little moth butterfly things in the Shibuya building of the Dragon Temple, plus have SP recovery accessories that heal back MP after every turn + after every enemy defeated, + her rank 2 Support skill which heals back MP after every battle plus Protagonist using the Mage Lineage, that 100 MP cost becomes MUCH more manageable
I didn’t even know what I was fighting before I saw this and when I started fighting in front of the temple, I gagged because I got the emperor mask that same day. Thanks for this, otherwise I would have done pierce spam with Strohl and Eikenburg. I love the priest class y’all.
I love how customizable she is even though the requirements to learn Masked Dancer seem to be pure DPS. Im excited to use her in my " Canonical Dual Classes" run, think shes gonna carry me tbh 😂
i love how everyone plays this game differently. i honestly just got the passive that gives you mana every turn from masked dancer and used her as a mage and spammed spells for the rest of the game since she has a insane magic stat
Her making fire weaknes is OP, as it's possible to repel a fire from fire attacking creatures which are fire resist and kill them with their own attack.
i made junah my 2nd wizard, and she stayed in mage line till final boss i gave her a debuff with inheritence tho. i have a mage bias and didnt want to use my accessory slot just to use magic spells. wizard just has the baked in coverage.
Was very excited when seeing Junah as i thought that you could get a lot of the benefits of other classes without the XP investment. Was really sad when I realized you dont even get all the skills when wearing the mask, like not getting being able to cleanse all status ailments (or any at all) when wearing the Savior mask
@@ToesTeaTy yeah but I feel like the devs were very deliberate in which skills to give the masks. General, for instance, has Matarukaja which can be paired with Marakukaja through Inheritance
End game, Masked Dancer ended up being my charge machine, I didn't even put a mask on her, just put an accessory that reduced the turn cost by 1 and used Masquerade Charge and inherited Debuffs. Warlord is better for buffs.
Yeah this guide is something you do if you havent beaten the game cause it falls off hard mid game and youll be wasting a lot of resources in to Junahs archetype which excels way better at buffing other teammates so they can one shot things like Strohls synthesis skill etc
My dataminer friends sent me a spreadsheet that lists everything. It’s in the SMT/Persona Discord server too. Let me see if I can link it discord.gg/megaten
Thanks for the video. I am further along than you were when you made this video, but I think the game did a poor job of explaining how the Masks work. I only really used the fireblast ability, not understanding it
@@patron7906 it can be tricky, especially since the game doesn’t tell you which skills you’re getting. But entrust your future to the cards, and you just might unlock her full potential. As the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed
I feel like Masked Dancer would be WAY better (borderline innately broken) if you could use half a turn icon to swap accessories or if masks were separate from the normal accessory slot. Giving up the Synthesis accessory that halves turn icon cost or allows for double turns is a big no-go for me. I use half synthesis accessory for AoE Charge spam or Double turns to give weakness to fire and then burn them all, only using 1.5 turn icons (royal version only).
@@TheHellsOutsider So you’re suggesting they go all in on the Persona Wildcard gimmick? Could be fun but personally, I think this approach encourages more critical thinking.
@@jaffinator2166 I just don't see the advantages over using another Archtype while using the Dancer's abilities you want there except on Regicide. Mag isn't that hard to come by (except on Regicide, where this Archtype MASSIVELY jumps in value if you don't want to grind for 30+ hours), and a big part of using the accessories on MD is to swap the weaknesses. If you have to equip everything beforehand, just use a better archtype with dancing abilities. And always missing out on the better accessories (stated above) in the game, you're losing alot of utility. If you could swap masks (even if you could ONLY swap masks and not other accessories), it would make the Wildcard much better. Just my opinion on it.
