Alot of Redman's verse will go over the younger kids heads. Makin suckers break like Turbo and Ozone is a reference to the movie Breakin. Leave you in the Blue Lagoon lost is a reference to the movie Blue Lagoon with Brooke Shields (that movie is crazy).

If not familiar with red his bars will go over ur head fact, I grew up on breakin so I was in all smiles @ 13yrs old when I heard this. Also red my alltime fave emcee, so I’m familiar with his catalog and rhymes and references in his bars.

That last line they said together “sawed off shotgun, hand on the pump, sippin on a 40, smokin on a blunt // bust my gun off, red & meth didn’t jump, la la la la la-la la laaaaaaaaah” was homage to Cypress Hill who got a song called Hand on The Pump and the hook is very similar to what Red & Meth was saying at the end of this. It’s a dope joint from Cyoress Hill. Some early 90’s ish. You should check it out.

This is known has the shortest rap song ever made. And the funny thing is the reason the song was so short was because Redman hated the beat. But as Redman said: the song is perfect for what it was and it made you want more and hear more. Also fun fact: The album this song is on, Blackout, Red and Meth made the whole record while on a tour bus.

Red and Mef got one of the best live shows ever. First time I saw them was the Hard Knock Life tour in, I wanna say 1999. That show had Jay-z, DMX, DJ Clue amongst others, and Red and Mef stole the show. Ive seen them a few times after that and each time they just kill it! Rocwilder made the beat. Popular in the late 90s early 2000s era. Worked s lot with Red. He has a High Profile Catalog in regards to the names he has worked with, but not many Singles. This is definitely a CLASSIC.

There's a reason why Redman is your favorite rapper's favorite rapper. His lines just go over casual listeners' heads. Real hiphop heads will understand what im talking about.. Meth has one of the greatest flows ever and Red is one of the greatest lyricists ever.. Edit: You should actually react to whole Blackout album..
