To explain: Methil is a small town in Fife (east coast Scotland). The band is pretty well known around the central belt as they compete and play often but during lockdown they couldn’t exactly do that. Hence this being a thing. Also it’s great to hear your own accent as so many people hide it when they sing so I give Cameron kudos for that alone! The instrument they’re playing that kinda looks like a cross between an oboe and recorder is a chanter- it’s what you learn bagpipes on (and from experience- they bloody hurt and you need very strong lungs to get any sound out of one- I gave up after about a week lol). They come apart in two pieces and attach to the bag which is what amplifies the sound so much.
