Method Feeder Fishing for HUGE Bream and Tench | Birkacre Big Lodge | Fishery Reviews
A mornings method feeder fishing with my dad on Birkacre big lodge for big Slabs (Bream) and Tench. Packed with information about the fishery, including tips and history.
As you know if you follow the channel we always have a session on the fishery while doing the review to see what we catch on the day ! I haven’t included all the fish we caught in this video… as you will see it was an extremely productive day and a really enjoyable session with my dad.

Great session! Watching those bream coming in is a distant memory for me. No bream where I am, feisty carp, catfish and barble! Few waters hold big tench but waiting for a break in work and weather to spend a session there. Great seeing you and your dad making memories!

I walk round Birkacre a lot (its only about 2 miles from my house) and i've seen people fishing but never fancied it because of the amount of people traffic it gets. The early start is a great idea at this time of year so might look into a Wigan Ticket and give it a whirl with the lad. Well done on the PB's 🙂

Great session! Hats off to see you succeeding on a "natural" water when its so tempting to get great bagging footage on an easy commercial!! I only started fishing this lake recently despite living 5 mins away for the last 10 years. I much prefer fishing waggler and centrepin, and was a bit put off fishing here, because every time i walked round the lake, anglers were using long range feeder tactics. But, as it turns out, the good sized bream can be caught on float (lift method) quite easily too, with some awesome roach into the bargain. Worm or luncheon meat does it for them at fairly short range, and grounbait wise, i just use half a pack of sonubait lake split 50/50 with plain crumb, with a few chopped worms mixed in, for a 3 hour session. What really interests me is the prospect of a big roach from there, I lost a big one last autumn just fishing with bread flake close in. Good luck guys👍👍

Nice change from carp looks really good for a non fishery lake, I fished some shockers in the past where the lakes aren’t well maintained & the fish stocks have got ridiculously low. Might give it a look with my lad on a future day on the bank had a look at the Wigan Card & plan on getting one hopefully have some good days fishing with my youngest see whether I can take the wife along & get her to try it again she doesn’t like unhooking or the feel but loves catching.

Great video Westy, nice to see you fishing a natural water and catching Bream and tench, this is my favourite kind of fishing session, had a good session at Limbrick last week with my mate,I had 17 carp ranging from 5 to 12lbs.. Most of them on your westy's wafters 👍👍

Hi bud , I live 1/2 a mile behind where you were fishing at barc 😂 opposite your peg there is a life ring and in front of it about 15 foot out from the bank there is a deep channel running parallel with the bank 👍that is the place for the tench, but you did well anyway bud 😉
