On that bothhand magnetics module will all those legs, my right half (only the right half)of the bottom row(just like where you're testing) are showing short to ground for me..I ended up taking out my Southbridge because of some shorts around that, and the short went away.. Now I just have to swap that Southbridge out with another, and after a reball, well see if it works.. It'll be my first manual reball and because of YOU sir, I have the confidence and the know-how to give it a go.. Thank you I'll update this if it works.

How did you know voltage of motherboard components? Like that component is 5v and that's 3.3 and that's 1.5? I'm a beginner can anyone help me with any videos to learn about it

Hi I have ps5 model CFI-1016A with problem all USB port type A , first: it not recognize the controller, second: i have measure all port type A and not arrive 5 volt, but only 0 volt !! Blu-ray port on board only 5 volt , but not 12 volt , infact bluray not working then Fan connector on board have 12,volt Then connector near fan only 5 volt and not 12 volt ! I don’t know if it’s a cpu problem or what else? you can help me ? Thanks

Hi and thanks for your videos. I have a short on the R22Hr20g coils which are in the middle between power management 1,5v ddr6 and switching regulator 5v 3,3v TLV62090RGTT. It's normal?

Great tip if yo're trying to remove thermal paste, I found a little bit of acetone on a cotton ball works amazing! IPA doesn't work too well for me

is there a check for CPU shorted out? Getting all caps on bottom / back of board under cpu shorted... dead cpu yea? Took off southbridge because I was getting shorts on caps on back of southbridge but stilled shorted, so then thought to test caps below cpu.

@6:25 if the pins on the magnetic module make my multimeter beep, where do i look for the cause? I had shorts around my encoder too, but i took the encoder off and the shorts are gone. But the module and the caps on the underside of the module are showing shorts.. Could you maybe make a video based on this issue?

If the magnetic module is short it's a bad southbridge bud

This is exactly why the idea of a damaged console is awful. Who’s got the integrity and skill to actually fix the issue or at least not make things worse. It’s either pay full clip to Sony $250 or just sell for parts imo. Here in the states we don’t have a Coder

Hello. I searched for the much wanted power manager chip DAP053T and found that there was someone that said the TEA2016AAT/1 is the same chip and Sony just rebranded this to DAP053T. Do you beleive that?

Notes were great. Double check your typing prior. small stuff. 1:12 missing Dir from "directly". Would have liked to see you repair this however I understand the "on the clock" repairs and when you have to call it.

Very good explanation of the components and power rails, but how come you don’t even have 12V, even with a known good power supply?

It's very likely that 12v was being pulled down to ground on this board, but figuring that out when so much had previously been done to the console wouldn't be worth my time. I'd already spent 90 minutes on it and was honestly just fed up of the different things I kept running in to on it

I need help. In 7:15 it should be 3.2. The next one is ground. And the next one should be 3.2 too. I have 0. I have 3 days to fix it or I'll have to sell it for 250€. I need the money. Thanks all
