the braking resistor in one of our centrifuge machine caught fire when one guy decided to bypass the contactor for the vfd

I'm sure that was a headache for everyone involved. Properly installed overheating protection is important for pretty much any machine. I hope this was a learning experience for the person who bypassed the contactor.

The main method I'd deploy to achieve this is to increase the deceleration period to a workable period that does not compromise the application or safety. And the other trick is to avoid un-necessary dynamic braking.

Hi Elevator and crane application we can't switch off resistance ro VFD Inverter any other idea? normally we use higher watt resistance resistance become very hot sum time

What if the VFD could have over voltage, is it possible to get overheating/burning of your braking resistor ?....

But the real question is: do you write on the glass in the regular way and then mirror it or you already write it mirrored?
