As a Russian, I can only say that this game is full of the Russian spirit and shows Russians as they are. That is why I believe that foreign players (not counting the CIS) will not be able to fully feel the charm of the Metro. Nevertheless, I am very glad that the whole world accepted the game so well, because before that the Russian game industry was at a rather low level (and the attitude towards the Russian segment of the community is rather bad than good). Keep up the good work! Love your channel!

Can you describe your definition of the Russian spirit? I am not familiar with it, unfortunately, but that is probably because I am western. I would really like to know!

@@SmokyCharizard they are not focused on individuality of single person. And that is their huge strenght. They are so much alive as their relationships (in more ways to understand: not only as wife and man, but more like became part of something bigger). Im really not sure about GoldenYouth and others in Moscow, where they live likely in rest of world's cities: money, clubs, parties, drugs, prestige and all others West shit. Take a look about Anna in Metro, she is woman hero, but not super overpowered as in Hollywood movies like cpt. Marvell, or whatever. Her abilities are Very simple: She is there for Artyom, She loves him, She risks her own life for save his life, She is kind on him, playing metro gave me feels like someone rly waits on me, while I'm on dangerous mission somewhere in Zone between bandits and mutants. Games like these have a great spirit and if You want to accepted this, they offers a great action, image quality, and that is most important for me, great story. Yes. Postapo world with all its features etc., with beautiful and trustable relation between pair. And because it is not overwhatever, we like it. Because we know it from our real days.

They did such a great job with this character in Metro Exodus! I really cared about her and I hope they'll make a DLC where you can play as her although that doesn't seem to be their plan from reading about the season pass they announced.

Honestly! We have only gotten to play as her once, and that was in the last light. For one DLC mission! Her skills as a sniper (how fast she rechambers and reloads) Felt like an entirely different playstyle. That's not even addressing the fact she's such a lovable broad. She deserves a long dlc as good as Sam's story IMO. I really wish they'd remaster last light with today's graphics and gunplay and include a DLC where you play as her and see her side of last light and what happened with her story.

So many times I wish I could experience this game from the beginning all over again. Erase my mind of it, and experience it. Every moment in the aurora with Anna and my spartan buddies was beautiful. I loved that in my first playthrough I kept every squad mate. I loved sitting with the Admiral playing guitar as he fell asleep asking me to stay. I loved every quiet moment with Anna, just us in our little cabin. I really FELT like I was Artyom. Everyday I wish I could experience this game all over again.

I find it a bit odd though the ending cause i am guessing you beat the game with the dark ones why they never made contact with Artyom but the trailer his Night Mares showed a log cabin on a hill but a bear popping out and killing everyone and during the game anna talks about a log cabin on a hill over looking a beach but then you think the only reason his mind is like this is because of the dark ones because he cant save everyone which i am guessing is the point of the intro to the game Ik this was random but i feel like this is true if you can put this jumbled bit of words into a correct senctece.

I love the facial animations they’re very good like surprisingly actually good. I’ve struggled to see any studio make good facial animations for their video game characters like the mouth and the eye movement is actually realistic good job

I just realized that the same voice actor voiced Satine Kryze in The Clone Wars and a bunch of other characters in that show too. It kept bugging me why Anna sounded so similar.

6:10 well now I'm feeling worse than the russian irradiated military man, roaming the devasted world aboard a piece of junk train in desperate hope of a inexistant wonderland. No one write characters like in Metro.
